pretty solid performance
I bought mine from the main website, as i didnt realise it was on amazon. i bought 2 and upgraded my 2x Office PC's from 2.5 to 5 gbps. Not sure what the other guy is doing, mine is really stable on windows 11 and on linux. The only thing i can think of is it mentions on the main wisdPi store that the windows 7 and windows 10 drives are very unstable so don't use them.If you have windows 11 or linux, this adapter is for you. Otherwise (as in if you use windows 7 or 10) then dont bother :)

Great functionality with MacOS and IpadOS
Nicely made product based on fit and finish of the metal case. Plugged it in with my M4 iPad and it hooked up to my UniFi 10G switch (FlexXG) quickly at 5Gb. No issues, no drivers to load, utterly seamless. Same with my M2 Mac minis. Great product and it doesn’t seem to get too warm regardless what i throw at it.,

Win 11 works Win 10 has issues.
Purchased this 5Gb adapter back when they first came out in September 2024.Could not even get it installed in Win 10 with USB errors even using the drivers from Realtek.I had no issues installing in Win 11 on a NUC11 (USB A) and iPerf3 was giving numbers that you would expect from a 5Gb adapter (about 4.5Gb).I noticed Realtek had new Win 10 drivers from 10/29/2024 so I tried Win 10 again on a NUC8 (USB A). It installed fine this time and seemed to be working fine as Speedtest worked along with my Browser.I then tried a bunch of iPerf3 tests with varied results. It would not run at all as a iPerf3 Client. It worked for the most part if I ran it as a Server and came in as a Client. It still would constantly fail if I tried to Reverse direction or lit it run for long periods of time. I would have to reboot to get the adapter working again. So the newer Win 10 drivers from Realtek (10/29/2024) are better but still have a ways to go I would stick to Win 11 as the vendor still recommends. I have not tried it on a Linux machine yet.

Exactly what I needed to increase the network throughput to an N100 based mini PC
Most 2.5gbit USB adapters are based on a similar Realtek chipset, but they are CPU hungry. I bought this to increase the network bandwidth available on an Intel N100 based mini PC. The CPU could not keep up to provide full 2.5 gbit speeds. This 5gbit card provides much better performance at 2.5gbit speeds on lower powered systems. Perfect for what I needed.

Not very stable
I keep getting dropped packages to my router, my other USB 2.5Gb network adapter did not have this issue.
