Shade material plus gaskets effective in blocking out light. I'm hoping shade is durable over time.

Nice blind, a little expensive, 100% blackout, does keep heat out as well You have to assemble them when they arrive I needed a size they don’t list, so I ordered a size a bit larger than my required size and trimmed down the frame until it fit my size perfect

These are an excellent overall deal. Measure exactly as the instructions tell you (minus 1/8 inch). You need that for the included foam seal, which wasn’t mentioned in the description. If you measure exactly as stated, the blinds will stay in via friction, no drilling/screwing needed. My windows are older, so I had to add extra foam seal to seal up the unevenness. But the foam sealed everything up well. And they stay put without any hardware. There’s no light from around the exterior. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is there’s some light that sneaks through between the blind and the frame channel. This can be mitigated via darkening/blackout pull shades over the top for full complete darkness. But, for claimed blackout shades, the extra shades shouldn’t be needed. Hence the one star deduction. This being said, I’d still buy more. Still work very well and are a good value.

These blackout shades work GREAT! Very easy to install, they fit perfectly according to the measurements I submitted. They feel very high quality and durable. I ordered white and they look great in our room with shear curtains. I plan to add a small bead of caulk along the edges to remove the 1% of light that is visible through the window crease. Highly recommend! I will be purchasing more for other rooms in my home.

This shade is OK at best. Tried it because it resembled one often advertised on social media but this was cheaper. Problem 1: I followed the measuring directions EXACTLY and also specified the they contact me to confirm measurement. No one contacted me, ever. Problem 2: The shades arrived and fit exactly in height but were far too wide. Emailed the company and got no response. Problem 3: These are extremely lightweight materials and "cheap" feeling parts. I assembled the shade easily, but due to the cheapness of the materials it was never "solid" and even after everything was snapped together it would easily fall apart. I ended up attempting to use the shade because it is not returnable by putting it over the window instead of within the frame. Attached to window with doublesided tape. Does an ok job at being blackout, but there is a "halo" of light around the interior edges and is very finnicky to open and close.

A few weeks in and the shade works very well! I’m in an apartment where nothing is perfectly straight and level so there’s some light leaking around the edges of the frame, even with the added foam. But once I close my existing blackout curtain over the closed cellular shade, it’s nearly pitch black in the bedroom day or night. My apartment put up new security flood lights that made it impossible for me to sleep, even with a blackout curtain. I ordered this shade and it took 2 extra weeks to arrive because UPS sent it to the wrong location. Not the seller’s fault and the seller was very good about keeping me updated with shipping status.
