Q: I'm getting severe pain from trying to work this out! Please how does the green rope come down? Mine won't come down.

I'm not next to mine as I try and answer this for you but from memory you should just pull in the back black cord to release the tension. It is a ratchet system. Keep repeating pulls on the front one to tighten and the back one releases. If yours doesn't work it might be faulty. Good luck

No you dont need to hold the tension, the tension is on a ratchet that you pull to suit however much you need it then stays at that, it is also fitted with a spring to make it more comfortable, there is a second pull cord that instantly releases the tension if needed. You simply pull the tension cord to the required tension and then sit there whilst the device stretches your neck, it feels odd at first but i didnt find it uncomfortable and it did actually relieve my neck pain.
