Question 1

does the ps3 goty edition come with a map?

Accepted Answer

The confusion over whether or not the GOTY edition includes a map is coming from two near identical releases of the game - a "Game of the Year Edition" and a "Greatest Hits: Game of the Year Edition". One has the map, one doesn't, and people are mixing up the two versions in their replies here. If you want an edition with a map:The original game was released in a white case, with the map included (you can see an example here): http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Elder-Scrolls-IV-Oblivion-Sony-PlayStation-3-2007-complete-w-map-/162161989527?hash=item25c19b9797:g:YhwAAOSwc1FXX3HYThe "Game of the Year Edition" was released next, and included the game manual and map that you mention. There is NO red case or "Greatest Hits" red stripe on this version, which you can see here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Elder-Scrolls-IV-Oblivion-Game-of-the-Year-Edition-PS3-NEVER-PLAYED-/282126848436?hash=item41b01211b4:g:~rMAAOSw6n5Xp7~fThen Bethesda released the "Greatest Hits" re-release of the "Game of the Year Edition". This is the one in this Amazon listing, the one with the red case. Unfortunately, Greatest Hits editions of popular PS3 games tend to not have the cool game manuals/artwork/extras, because it's a budget edition, released many years after the original game came out. This version has the game, the red case with the cover, and a little pamphlet inside that's basically just an install manual (not what you'd think of as an actual game manual). You can see an opened version here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Elder-Scrolls-IV-Oblivion-Sony-PlayStation-3-2007-/131873199073?hash=item1eb44153e1:g:JBUAAOSwyDxXgbUZIf you want the map, you definitely need the original release OR the Game of the Year Edition - do NOT buy one with a red case; it won't have it.Hope this helps clear up the confusion! Good luck adventuring in Tamriel!

Question 2

does this version have trophies

Accepted Answer

Hello,I am sorry it does not have trophies on the ps3 version. I do know that it does have achievements on the Xbox360 version. I am not sure about the PC version. Have a good day!

Question 3

Is this game suitable for a 12 year old?

Accepted Answer

It depends on what you're comfortable with said 12 year old playing...it has some blood, violence and some alcohol usage. Sexual content is very low if any at all. The game was originally rated T for teen.

Question 4

Just bought the game. i heard it's supposed to have more expansions rather than just the two listed here. can i buy the others on the ps store?

Accepted Answer

I own the game on PS3 and Steam. The Steam version includes more content, which is not available for download on PS3. If you have a laptop or a pc, buy the Steam version.
