This is a very nice vice... heavy, yet you can screw it down if needed. Smooth operating. I'm quite critical and picky when it comes to my tools and this has zero complaints from me.

Vise is being used for general gun cleaning and scope mounting. I have used it with various revolvers and long guns with satisfactory results. Build quality is good as long as you know it’s a light duty vise and use it within its limitations. Swivel ball joint function’s well and is strong enough to hold securely at various angles. I particularly like its small footprint and portability, certainly makes it easy for quick maintenance.

Works great for light duty stuff and great angles. For heavy torque or hammering I'd use heavier vice but I like it for what I use it for.

Having a nice workbench for guns, the one thing I was missing was a vise to really hold rifles while putting on or taking off muzzle devices with significant torque. I was being lazy about trying to drill one into my bench, so this one offered the ability to C clamp it on for a mickey mouse arrangement that should still work. So the good was this worked fantastically. I bought a couple of those grippy trigger clamps, put this on to my bench, and that thing was not moving an inch, in fact, any attempt to move it swayed the entire bnech. But after getting it on and sitting down to wrench off a simple AR flashhider to replace it with a better brake, the incompetence of this design was made clear. No matter how hard I set the tension for the main ball joint, eventually, when trying to torque the device off, the ball joint would move and the gun would move and I couldn't get stuff on or off. The only way I eventually got it to work was to jam a wood block under the vise preventing it from moving when I turned and I got one on and off. But for something that's supposed to be a nice specialized gun vise, what's the point of that. Any standard vise would do better holding it in place while you turn something on or off. If you're only using it for other things where you don't need the vise to hold against that much pressure, you might be fine with this. But I wasn't doing anything too unusual and this just didn't function.

I love this vise, everything about it. Especially the fact it doesn’t have to be stationary you can use a clamp with it and when your done store it away, it’s also super nice! Holds every firearm I have perfectly and rotates any way you want it to. There really couldn’t be any better vise out there for any firearm. This is the one, grab it!
