Cobra RAD 700i Laser Radar Detector with Premium Detection, AutoLearn Intelligence, Advanced Filtering, Drive Smarter App, Laser Eye Front/Rear Detection - Black

Testing from UK, so far so good. Far better range than the 480i. However I was told that Cobra wouldn't warranty it, because it hadn't been tested in the UK. So I had to purchase an Amazon insurance at the price of £14 for 2 years. Recommend anyone else to do the same because my other detector, the 480i become faulty within 4 months and after a lot of hassle cobra finally sent me a replacement 'as a good will gesture'

This came via Amazon US to use in the UK. Very sturdy and professional looking device. The app is a bit hit and miss but that doesn't really matter. Plenty of adjustments. Minimum false alerts. Visibility is fine. I have mine set on yellow but it's nice to have different colours to choose from. Excellent sturdy mounting bracket and easy to detach.

Can't judge if it's effective and accurately detects fast cameras, often have fixed fast cameras it doesn't give a warning (maybe the camera isn't activated), but often doesn't issue a warning (maybe a camouflaged police car radar, but can't confirm it), so can't judge whether it works, trust 10% waze90%

I purchased this RD because of a trip I'm going to be going on. It's just to give me a heads up to where law enforcement is on this journey. I was considering the 480i model however, I'm glad I choose this one. So far in my experience with it, it's been good. Where I'm at the local police use mostly Ka band. This RD gives plenty of range/warning before reaching the "gotcha zone". I've yet to come across Lazer, IO, or red light cameras. So I have no experience with that yet. It also hasn't alerted for blind spot detection on other vehicles either. (Which has been nice) For $260 this RD is pretty darn good. There is plenty of videos on YT in regards to performance and all the settings and features this RD has. I like that there are updates, and a phone app. However, I haven't needed the app yet. I did update the RD with the latest software which I believe was just for the GPS. I also really like the magnet mount. Makes removal quick and an absolute breeze. I'd say if you're on a budget and plan on getting a RD, I'd check this one out. Very pleased! Update: I did go on my trip (lots of highway driving) and the detector did very well. It pointed out speed traps (with plenty of warning to slow down) and also (delta radar) which was a first. It did pick up on some false alerts like the automatic doors at the hotel. Overall, it's a good detector and I'm pleased with it's performance. The only gripe which would be minor would be that I wish the detector would tell you which direction the radar is being sent from. Overall good unit for the $$$.

Fontionne bien jusqu’à maintenant beaucoup de paramètres mais cela ce configure tres bien avec lapplication 4 étoiles car je suis présentement entrain de le tester et que jai pas la pleine confiance a rouler vite encore avec ce detecteur a noter que c’est illégal au Quebec et en cas que vous vous faites voir avec ce gadjet ils (police) vont vous le saisir avec ou sens conséquence

I recently purchased the Cobra RAD 700i, Cobra’s top-of-the-line radar detector, and I’m thoroughly impressed. It delivers excellent long-range detection, especially on KA band and LiDAR. In my experience, every single alert for KA or LiDAR has been a legitimate police encounter — no false alarms on those bands. The occasional false alert I do get is almost always on K band, which is common with many non-law enforcement devices like automatic door openers and blind-spot monitors. For the price, the RAD 700i offers outstanding value. The build quality feels premium, and I particularly love the magnetic mount. It’s incredibly quick and easy to attach or remove, which is perfect for security when parking in public. I previously owned the RAD 480i, and the 700i is in a completely different league. The older model was plagued with frequent false alerts, while the 700i is far more refined and accurate. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performance detector, I highly recommend stepping up to the RAD 700i. It’s worth the extra money.
