Strangely enough, I'm using this not with a phone or tablet, but with a battery charger. My Opus tends to get heat-stroke when lying flat on the table, its little fan buzzing away like an angry bumblebee, so I used to prop it up on-edge so that natural convection would let hot air out through the fan-hole, and let the fan only augment that when needed.Unfortunately, the slightest upset would have it falling forward and dumping out the cells. So I got this to hold it upright, and it does that quite well! :DCoil it in a loop, have the grippers hold the charger top and bottom, and away we go.My only issue is that the grippers should extend a bit further, as they only grab about a quarter-inch or so. Probably would fine with a thin phone, but not a tablet, much less alone battery-charger. I'd have to nick the rating by a star (fair, as that'd apply to a tablet or older/thicker phone as well), but otherwise it's quite wonderful.
