SPF 15 Facial Moisturizer, 4 Ounce (Pack of 4)

I really like this moisturizer. The measured pump is great, gives enough for face and neck. Not greasy and absorbs quickly. It does smell like sunscreen but it doesn't bother me. I live at the beach so am pretty used to always smelling like sunscreen.

I was looking for a replacement to a face lotion that I have used for years that is no longer being made. This is VERY close but not quite - it's a little bit heavy. I like to dab each cheek and spread around my face. With this product you also needs a dab on the forehead for full coverage. There is barely a scent which is what I was looking for.

I wasn't a big fan of Spacology's facial moisturizer. As others have mentioned, it does have a strong SPF smell and feels as if you're putting on sunscreen rather than a light facial moisturizer -- like a Neutrogena or Skinceuticals. It goes on thick and absorbs quickly, but that SPF smell bugs me. I know some like it, as it's reminiscent of the beach, but it's not for me on a day-to-day basis. I like to put on a facial moisturizer and forget it's there; this just seems to hang... The other thing too is that it's not waterproof. The bottle even says to use a waterproof sunscreen with it, so in effect you'll be double layering.If you're going to be outside at a picnic, this should work fine -- you'll get the benefit of a moisturizer and sunscreen. If you're going to be more active outdoors (working or exercising), it'd be best to use a regular sunscreen. Plenty of these have moisturizing elements and give you more bang for the buck.

Okay the positives of this lotion are many so I will start with those. The lotion is oil free and goes on very light and easily. The lotion does indeed moisturize and feel good on the skin. The lotion also seems too protect from the sun since it has a SPF 15 in the formula. The lotion is not tested on animals and seems some what gentle in the ingredient area. The packaging is nice and I love the pump for the lotion's application. The one negative is that this lotion smells strongly of sun tan lotion. So much so my son kept asking me why he smells the pool. I do not mind this smell but it is strong and it is noticeable. It is such a nice light lotion though that for me the smell is not a deterrent, but I would say maybe save this lotion for days when you will be out in the sun more. I walk every day for an hour so I will use this likely every day now that the days are longer and it is already in the 80s here. I have not seen any sun on my face after the last few days of walking so I believe it is working. Also, the price at $20.00 is pretty reasonable.

Okay, you get a lot of moisturizer for the price, it comes in an easy to pump bottle (once you get it started), one pump provides more than enough for your face and it absorbs well into your skin. It doesn't leave any 'whiteness' or residue behind, and it doesn't affect my makeup when I wear any with it (with or without primer). I haven't noticed any breakouts with this and yes, my skin doesn't feel dry when I use it. Why not more stars? The scent. It has a strong 'SPF' scent to it, so much so that I still notice it almost an hour later. It fades eventually (or I just get used to it), but if you're sensitive to scents, this moisturizer may be a problem to you. Which is a shame because it's otherwise a good one - easy to apply, not noticeable, does a good job, though it is low on the SPF factor. Considering the strength of the 'scent', I would think it would do a better job of providing sun protection.

I've tried several moisturizers lately and this is among the least greasy-feeling of them all and it absorbs into the skin quickly, while others tend to linger on the surface much longer. I have a terrible time in winter with dry skin on my face and hands because of all the dry heat and the older I get the worse it gets, so while I was never a moisturizing person much in the past, I am now. This cream helped a lot and very quickly and I only had to use a small amount.The description says that it's non-scented, but there is a very very trace scent that I find very pleasant (so do the cats apparently, they can't stop sniffing my hands). The scent is barely there but I actually wish it was stronger, it's very pleasing. There are only four ounces in the bottle but at this price you get four bottles which is a pretty fair deal.
