I have used it in a carpet washer machine and it doesn't make a lot of foam. For me it works very well every time. Hope this helps

How do you get it to foam? It says 9 parts water and 1 part liquid, but mine didn't foam at all!

Just agitated with the scrubbing brush and it foams up brilliantly always use this on my carpets.
