A Quality TV with Excellent Picture
I did have a 32 inch Toshiba TV in the bedroom, which I was quite happy with until the HDMI & Composite sockets failed. Not a problem I thought, it's under warranty. I contacted Toshiba expecting them to resolve the problem, only to be told I had been using the sockets too much & they'd failed due to inappropriate usage, so they couldn't - wouldn't - do anything. Go figure !!!! Anyway as I'd purchased the TV from Amazon I contacted their customer services & they were brilliant, collected the TV and gave me a full refund. Amazon 1 Toshiba 0. So now the search was on for a replacement. I decided to upgrade from the 32 inch screen to a 40/43 inch screen & researched reviews etc for best buys at this size. Needless to say Toshiba was not a make I considered. Ones that stood out above the rest both on price and specifications were the Hisense 43 inch, or the Panasonic 40 inch. I went for the Hisense as it was cheaper & had more HDMI inputs. What a disappointment. The picture quality was terrible, I'll not go into details as I've sent in a seperate review. Amazon provide an excellent returns service so I returned the Hisense and brought the Panasonic. Am I glad I did, the difference is huge. Admittedly it's £100 more than the Hisense but in terms of picture quality there is no comparison, the Panasonic is far far better. Initially I connected it via the terrestrial aerial, and the Amazon Fire setup. When getting a new TV I get very frustrated having to wait whilst it runs the the setup process - I want to see what it looks like!!! Anyway that aside set up is a doddle, having used a Firestick previously it was a simple process to get TV up and running. At last we can see what it's like, and I can tell you it is good, very good. The remote has quick links to the apps, Netflix, Prime (obviously), but the big benefit is Alexa voice control so you can navigate straight to your desired channels & programmes. Next I connected my SKY puck, and now the quality of this TV really came into it's own. The picture quality is quite superb. Whilst it's good on the FireTV, the improvement you get via the SKY puck is exceptional. The sound is decent for a bedroom TV, I'm quite happy with it myself but for those of you who want a bigger sound stage a soundbar can be connected via the HDMIarc output Which brings me to the one problem I have with this TV, it only has two HDMI's, which in todays world of digital devices is just not enough. I got around this by buying an HDMI switching unit to add 3 more HDMIs, problem solved. I've only tried it once with my Xbox, but it seems to cope very well with fast moving action games, no problems with judder or the picture freezing ( which it did on the Hisense). So far so good then. Overall I would highly recommend this TV, it does cost slightly more than the budget lines, but, as is always the case, you get what you pay for. What's the point in saving a few pounds on a TV you are going to live with for several years. If you buy this one you will definitely be a very satisfied customer, just like me.

Happy with my panasonic
Tv is a great size for a bedroom and light enough to stand on a chest of drawers. I use sky stream pucks throughout the house and picture quality with those is really good. Have an lg oled in the lounge so hard to get anything close to that. Not sure about the fire tv interface as i dont need that as all streaming services are on the sky stream pucks, so just got straight to them. All in all a great tv for the price and sound quality is perfect too.

A solution to live Freeview problem.
A great little TV with loads of features. Picture quality is good and sound, although not comparable to a 42" Panasonic, is adequate for the size. No problems with setup or WiFi. Like others I did have an intial problem with live Freeview not fully displaying when switching directly from an app such as iPlayer. But if I restarted the TV then live Freeview would be back again. Which made me think because I wasn't exiting the iPlayer app first the display was still partly connected to the app. So if I fully exit the app through the menu then live Freeview works as normal.

Excellent?- but flawed!
I have started the returns process to Amazon after just over a week of trying to get this TV to work properly. Internet streaming services - Netflix, Prime, Disney, Discovery - all worked very well, and I was more than satisfied with picture quality etc. Unfortunately, the TV was unable to store terrestrial channel information and regular retuning became tedious and frustrating. Panasonic UK was very helpful and one adviser spent half an hour on the phone talking through things I could try. Despite his best efforts, including a factory reset, when I turned the set off, terrestrial channels were missing some time later. Yesterday I came across a suggestion on the internet that automatic updates should be turned off. I did this after another factory reset, retuned and all seemed perfect, with all channels operating correctly, even after the set was turned off - success! No! - this morning no terrestrial channels could be displayed or accessed and it was not even possible to start a channel retune. The menu for this action was completely frozen. At this point I gave up and packaged the set for return. I suspect the fault is with the digital tuner in the TV and am disappointed that what could be a really good item is not fit for purpose in its present state.

Disappointed
Having had a Panasonic tv for years which was brilliant. I thought I'd be okay with another one. The sound is dreadful and its slow to load up. Setup was easy, it was a very good price.
