Great value.
Easy to install with supplied adapter. Works great to remove sediment with flushing once every week.

Product support doesn't listen, they suggested I call a plumber-- RESOLVED
Filter is solid and appears to be built well. Installation was straight-forward. Like other reviews have mentioned, the wall mounting bracket will support the filter, but not hold it in place. I went to change the filter cartridge for the first time (after about 6 weeks), but when I moved the top control to "Off", I still had flow from the filter bowl. I tried several times, but couldn't get the flow stopped. The valve handle moved smoothly and gave no indication of problems. I contacted Waterdrop support and they told me to service the valve or call a plumber. They also sent a nice video of how to open the filter housing to change the cartridge, but not how to address the "Off" setting not functioning properly. I tried again after my conversations with support, and was able to get the "Off" setting to work and change the filter. No idea why it took several tries to seal. I will likely add isolation valves to help with this.UPDATE: After leaving a negative review, Waterdrop contacted me about replacing the filter. Turns out the "Off" postion does not isolate the filter from backflow from the output side of the filter. Once I added a valve to the output side, I was able to prevent gravity backflow (filter in basement). At this point, the only negative remaining is how fast the filter gets clogged by the silt from the well-- certainly not the filter's fault. I'll have to see how well the backwash performs, now that I have a downstream valve.

No pressure after install ✌️
Edit: because of great customer service, I got a full refund, no questions asked. It was still a PITA to install and realize it was useless.Installed yesterday, cleaned / flushed out about ten times already, and still I get maybe 1gpm flow. I get that there's *some* sand coming up from my well pump, but it's not really an abnormal amount. This filter might work for just your sink, if you're concerned about drinking sediment... But it definitely is useless as a whole house filter, which is what it is advertised as.The fittings are fine, by the way, despite what others may say. Very easy to install and cool design.

Good for murky well water !
Good filter but depending the quality of water ...if you have well water and is contaminated with industrial waste and pollutants for best results backwash the filter everyday for 5 minutes and regen your filtration system every week . .I have three filters...2 after this filter ...it will definitely keep your system clean and reduce sediments and iron from entering your other filters and regen system buy with confidence...be advised if you have no plumbing experience..please hire a professional do not install it yourself ...need special tools ...make sure the plumber is sober and not a patriot ...and has insurance

Works, but may need to look into other options
I was really hoping this could be best 2 in 1 filter to get the larger sediment plus filter out the smaller debris in my well water in a single filter housing for my limited space. I can say that this filter is WELL made - very heavy duty. The bracket is terrible though. I kept having the filter moving slightly while installing all the piping which would dislodge the bracket - so frustrating! I ended up putting a screw above the bracket to not allow it to come up and fall off. Also make sure you get some pipe dope as even when using MANY wraps of thread tape it still had a slow leak. After using the pipe dope no leaks. My old setup - Incoming well water > cold water pressure tank > water softener > to inside linesMy new setup - Incoming well water > cold water pressure tank > Waterdrop Sediment (This) filter > water softener > to inside linesMy water has a lot of rust, sediment, etc in it. We never had any sort of filter before and didn't really know the 'raw' quality of the incoming water as the water softener was taking care of it. I wanted this filter before the softener because the small brine nozzle frequently clogs up with debris so I was hoping this could solve that. The filter for sure is doing it's job. After a day I can see the larger particles getting trapped by the 100 micron metal mesh filter and the inside 5 micron filter was quite red with sediment. This certainly won't be lasting me more than a month as within 3 days it's already quite dark. Backwashing only really removes the debris from the metal mesh filter, nothing really comes off the inside filter. That brings me to why I can't give it 5 stars... it's not anything relating to the filter itself, more that I didn't do enough homework before purchasing. The inside filter is a non-standard filter and they only make it in the 5 micron size. While they are not terribly expensive, not having the option to go up a micron size (and in my case allowing the water softener to take back some of the work) locks you into replacing them much more frequently when your incoming water supply isn't the best. I emailed the company asking for a larger micron filter option and they don't make one.I'm going to end up swapping this entire filter system out for a different brand that takes universal filters which will allow me the flexibility to try different types and micron sizes to get the best combination for my water.**IF they end up making other filters in the future, I would say it may be a good system as the quality is there.**IF your incoming water supply is very good already, this may be a good one and done option for you as a preventative option for the occasional sediment situations.As-is, I wouldn't recommend this to people on a well. I would say it's more for city water supply usage only. Too bad I'm past the return window as this would certainly be going back at this point.Side note - check Menards for OmniFilter housings and filters as they usually have the best price compared to buying them elsewhere.
