Great watch! Smartwatch equivalent to a G shock!
Great watch!! So I needed a new watch for work as my old Casio G shock died after a few years. As I work as an electrical engineer on the underground power network, I needed a strong watch that was durable in outdoor conditions. I was tempted to buy another Casio G shock but liked the idea of a smart watch but didn’t like the idea of needing to charge it every 1 or 2 days and thought they were a little delicate for what I need it for. After some research I decided to go for the Amazfit T rex 3 and wasn’t disappointed! Pros; Battery life, with daily use battery lasts over 20 days! Sturdy, very well built, don’t feel nervous about using it in extreme conditions, I brought a glass screen protector just for some extra protection Very easy to use and fully of features, very quick and responsive. Cons; Size, it’s not a slim watch, it’s quite chunky which for my I don’t mind as I can live with that trade off for the extra strong built quality and plenty of battery life but just bare in mind it may be a bit too thick to slide under most long sleeves. Connectivity, it’s not laggy at all but there has been a few instances where I’ve missed notifications and the watch has lost connectivity with my phone so I’ve had to open the app and sync it and it starts working again. It’s only happened a few times so not a big deal. Too many features, this can be a pro and con but I find it packed with that many features it can sometimes feel overwhelming and most of the apps and features you’ll hardly use or they don’t work very well. Such as the work out app, it’s great if you’re going for a run but if you’re having a gym workout, the app doesn’t accurately measure reps and most the time you want to have a workout and just get on with it rather then fiddling with your watch the whole time. Overall I’d recommend it, great value for money even though I missed out on the Black Friday deal and paid £253, at £210 on black Friday it’s a no brainer, you’d easily pay a lot more for a garmin equivalent.

A great value useful everyday smartwatch
It's slightly bigger than the old Trex 2 but performs in a similar way. The charger has become a c type and you get a small adapter thats magnetic which sticks to the rear of the watch. Charging is pretty rapid and the battery does last for weeks. I bought mine to monitor my health heart rate etc and in that regard it's pretty useful. The Zepp app links to your watch and will give you a comprehensive feedback on your activities. There is a subscription service should you wish to get ongoing assessments of your health and workout activities. On the wrist it's comfortable and being waterproof and quite tough will still function in and out of water. I found the slightly larger screen useful for reading downloaded maps. It's fairly simple to set up and practically useful on a daily basis. My old watches have become redundant. Would I recommend it yes I would. It's far cheaper than many similar smart watches and every bit as useful. There are literally hundreds of watch faces to choose from free and paid for, the latter being quite cheap too. A very good smart watch.

A Rugged Powerhouse for Outdoor Adventurer watch
I’ve been using the AMAZFIT T-Rex 3 for over a month now, and it’s hands down one of the best outdoor smartwatches I’ve owned. Built like a tank yet surprisingly sleek, it’s packed with features that make it perfect for serious adventurers and fitness enthusiasts. 🛰️ Navigation & GPS Accuracy: The dual-band GPS and support for 6 satellite systems make navigation incredibly accurate, even in remote areas. The offline maps feature is a life-saver when hiking in places with no signal. It locks onto satellites fast and keeps the route tracking consistent and reliable. 📱 Display & Durability: The AMOLED display is bright, sharp, and readable even under harsh sunlight. The rugged design looks tough and can definitely handle rough use – perfect for trails, water, and all types of outdoor sports. 💪 Fitness & Sports Modes: With 170+ sports modes, it covers everything from running and strength training to freediving up to 45m! It’s also got advanced metrics that fitness lovers will appreciate – heart rate, SpO2, VO2 Max, recovery time, and more. 🔋 Battery Life: This is where the T-Rex 3 shines. I got close to 3 weeks of battery life with moderate use (notifications on, GPS workouts 3–4 times a week). Even with heavy GPS use, it holds strong for days. You won’t need to charge it every night like most smartwatches. 💳 Extras – NFC & App: NFC payment support is a cool addition, especially when I don’t want to carry my wallet during workouts. The Zepp app syncs quickly and offers a clean interface to review health stats, routes, and sleep tracking. ✅ Final Verdict: The AMAZFIT T-Rex 3 is a beast of a watch – feature-rich, ultra-durable, and built for real adventure. Whether you’re a hiker, diver, cyclist, or just love the outdoors, this watch delivers on performance and battery life. Plus, it looks great on the wrist! Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a reliable outdoor companion. 🔥

Great watch, upgrade from basic smart watch.
I had a Chinese magic smart watch, first smart watch I'd owned and it was fine. As it agreed and the strap degraded i looked around for a replacement and was looking at Luxium, then Garmin watches. On balance this watch does more than most, and it's cheaper, the app is solid and it's a real change in usability from my old watch. This gives me what looks like accurate data, and tons more if it, map is handy (not excellent) and AI is useful. Went for a run and i was really pleased with its tracking and data it provided. Very happy, does much more than I need.

Great watch but...
I like this watch. My previous watch was a Galaxy watch 4 Classic. The only reason for buying this was its amazing battery life, way better then the Classic. But I ended up reverting back to a galaxy watch. Not because the Amazfit went wrong but it just lacked in small things. For example, I use my alarm several times a day (For work), So its important for me to know the alarm is ready for the next time. The difference between the 2 watches is that the Classic will show the next time the alarm is due to go off, but the Amazfit only indicates that the alarm is set, not the time its due to go off (minor gripe i know). The other thing with this watch is the customisation, its non existent. Sure there's plenty of watch faces to download but you cannot customise them to show what info you want to see, not on the free ones anyway, not sure about the paid for faces. I don't use a smart watch for any health or fitness tracking etc, I turn all that crap off. I use it for Time, Alarms, Weather, notifications, todo etc. unfortunaley for the Amazfit you cannot remove the steps display or heart rate etc.

Great for running, excellent Strava integration.
I love this watch. I have been wearing it for six days now. I have run three times totalling about 15 miles, a little over two hours of activity. Battery currently on 51%. The GPS is accurate, has recorded route well across paths next to roads and cross country, 50/50 split for these runs. The metrics are clear during activities, night and day. The zepp app is great, as is the integration with Strava. I like being able to set the phone up through the app, notification setting for instance is optimal, you can easily select what the watch notifies, email, calls, messaging, apps etc. when you open Strava after the run, it allows you to update the details, title etc. All easy to use. Start, stop activities just on the watch. Through Zepp, I have started using the food log, the AI analysis of photos is good, identifying food types on plate and good estimation of quantities. Where this strays it is easy to correct weights with actuals. It tends to slightly over estimate. This is helping me limit post Christmas appetite, lost 1.5 kg since putting it on. Sleep and heart rate monitorong all good. This is valuable to me. Build quality of the watch is good. No concerns or complaints. I am really pleased with the purchase and value for money.

Amazing amazfit. Outstanding!
Amazing, the software is very impressive and enhances the functionality. Hardware is extremely good, the design is great and doesn't look like a cheap plastic watch. Only drawback is the thickness as it's easy to bump it, so a screen protector is vital. Battery life is one the highlight features, 3 weeks easily with intense use. Value for money is outstanding.

Fantastic
Coming from a Fitbit Sense this is a massive step up. There are so many workout presents. For strength training it can measure your reps and you can log weights and advise you on technique - things like speed decay, consistency, rhythm. For hikes it lets you load routes and use an interactive map to find your way. For running it logs all your runs and unlike Fitbit it tells you your best times for different distances as well as PBs for other things - no need for Strava or any other service. It also logs everything without needing a phone and even let's you load music and pair headphones to the watch. Connectivity been rock solid, no issues or needing to restart anything, unlike my Fitbit that would sometimes lose connection for no reason. Battery lasts for many days, I have adjusted certain settings like heart rate sampling time to be faster than default but I still get 15 days approx from it. Plenty of watch face options both free and paid. Screen is nice and bright in full sun and I love that everything can be done with the buttons not just with touch. Overall highly recommend for the price - well worth it.
