AMAZING!!! What a great little machine!!! We have on the lighter side carpet in our downstairs we also have 2 big dogs who dirt. I was shocked using this and seeing what a difference it made. I couldn’t believe how much dirt was there even though i vacuum and used a spray carpet cleaner for spots. This was so easy to use. I’ve rented big ones and trying to get it home then figuring out how to use it was literally a nightmare. Not with this especially cleaning it out once it filled took me less than a few minutes to empty, clean it out and refill. I’m so happy with this purchase! Also it’s so light weight even full which is a big help and the cord to plug it in super long well made and you don’t have to keep unplugging and then finding another plug or extension cord!!! If you don’t want to buy a big carpet cleaner i can’t recommend enough this great little machine it’s a great addition to your cleaning arsenal!!

I was having a hard time keeping my new carpet clean when we got a new puppy. I know that potty training takes a while but I just couldn't clean up her urine messes just by hand. I also had to buy a Amazing laundry Detergent to get the urine smell out of my towels etc. It's a powder that you add to your laundry and it removes ALL PET URINE SMELLS AND ANY OTHER PET STINKY STUFF. I added one scoop of Active Pet Laundry Detergent Powder to the water mixture and mixed it extremely well. By the time I was done cleaning the spots, I couldn't smell Pet urine anymore. When I use this additive to the carpet cleaner, I make sure I clean the carpet cleaner and flush it out extremely well. The durability is amazing and the appearance of this cleaner is amazing. I don't have to get my large carpet cleaner out to clean small areas anymore.

Primarily purchased this to use on the seats in my vehicle and it did a great job!!! Doesn't completely soak the seats and extracts the solution well! Not heavy! Love that it mixes itself and you can choose modes. The spray field is wide, but if you get close to whatever you're cleaning it's easier to control. Great little machine. Very happy with my purchase.

First, don't be put off by 4 stars vs 5. The missing star is not a reason to avoid buying this cleaner, as it did a fabulous job cleaning. Just a couple minor things I wish were different. First is that the suction is always on if the machine is on, so if you want to scrub the area you're about to clean, it's going to suck up the cleaning solution or pretreat spray while you're scrubbing whether you want it to or not. The workaround is just to scrub with the machine turned off. Minor. The other one is weird; the air outlet is on the bottom of the machine, not the side, so it's blowing downward into the carpet (stressing the motor) rather than freely out the side. Now for the good, and it's very good- this did an amazing job of cleaning dried-on runny dog poo out of our carpet in multiple areas. One of our pups had GI distress for a couple days so we had a few messes around the house. After weighing renting vs buying we decided to buy, and I looked for recommendations on Wirecutter but they didn't love any of them, and their "recommendations" were lukewarm. Did a little more research and eventually decided on this Little Green Max Pet machine and I am so impressed. It had been several days since the poo events, so I wet the areas first with a little water spray and let it sit for a bit. Then we used the pretreat spray, as well as putting cleaner in the machine, but I think the pretreat would have been enough, as this machine has a Rinse-only function. Regardless, all evidence of poo is gone after using this Little Green machine. All. Gone. I was expecting mediocre results, but I'm so pleased with how well it cleaned everything up. Highly recommend this cleaner! And even better, the smell of the cleaning agents is not overwhelming. I'm very sensitive to artificial fragrances but this one did not trigger any asthmatic symptoms. Very very happy! Update a couple weeks later- Dogs being dogs, we've had a few more opportunities to this cleaner. I still don't like that the air outlet is on the bottom with no side vents, as it seems a guaranteed way to overheat the motor, and it does get very warm, but otherwise still happy we made this purchase. It does do a very good job spot cleaning. In fact, the areas we cleaned are now noticeably much cleaner than the rest of the carpet, so it's left us with *clean* spots! I'll keep my rating at 4 stars, and my recommendation stands. This is a great carpet spot cleaner.

I woke up today thinking I’d have peace, it was a quiet and joyful morning. Instead, my poor 40lb dogs stomach decided otherwise, she ended up having diarrhea ALL over my carpet overnight while I was dead asleep. In true fashion I whipped out my old carpet cleaner, but alas, she was broken (literally fell apart in my hands, thing was old as dirt). So, I went ahead, cleaned up what I could and pretreated the carpet while looking for a new carpet cleaner. In the meantime I found this one the Bissell Little Green Max Pet Smartmix, I was in between a few others and ultimately decided on this. It’s small, on the cheaper end and fits in the only storage area in my little two bedroom apartment. Let me start by saying, if you have a couple of spots/want to spot clean this is PERFECT! Pretreat your areas first let it sit, then add your water and cleaner into their respective places in the jug, plug it in and go. As mentioned before I have dogs, both of which shed like no other. I replaced the bristle attachment for the rubber one to make cleaning easier (especially since it was poop 🤢) and kept it going. The suction power was great, it pulled everything up! One spot in particular looked like a gruesome scene straight out of a horror movie, so of course I started there. It’s as if it never happened. In my 28 years of living I never expected to be this over come with joy by a carpet cleaner. The odor and stains are gone, my carpet dried FAST, and despite it being small it feels pretty durable. I’m not excited for another accident, however, I’m happy to know I have this little tool.

My sister, mom, and I have been sharing one of these between our households, and I just decided to buy them a new one, so that the old one can stay permanently at our house. This is partly because it is annoying to be without it, and partly because my mom and sister have perpetually clean houses with the occasional little spill, and we’re over here with a hoard of messy children and a teen who is restoring a 1984 Toyota Supra that wasn’t quite stored in quite, umm, pristine conditions. I thought perhaps it was time for us each to have our own. Ha! But that is the versatility of this machine: it can be around for the occasional mess or clean the really, really big messes. Just don’t lose the tiny little clear plastic piece that goes over the end of the suction nozzle(!!!), or it will not work at all - it’s one annoying feature - because it is easy to lose and not easy to just replace. Obey that one rule, and you should be good. It’s super easy to use, and I think the results speak for themselves. My son, with a little Folex, drill brushes, and a touch of enzyme cleaner, was able to suction away years of algae, grime, and who-knows-what, and now his 1984 Supra seats harken back to their glory days. This vacuum is small, but it’s a powerful little workhorse!

The Bissell Little Green Max has been wonderful for cleaning up pet messes. It is easy to use, works quickly, and does a great job getting spots and stains out without having to drag out a huge carpet cleaner. We use it for those lovely little “surprises” that come with having pets, and it has handled everything really well. It has great suction, cleans thoroughly, and makes the area look and smell fresh again. I also like that it is compact enough to store easily but still powerful enough to actually get the job done. Definitely worth having if you have pets in the house. It has saved us more than once!

Cleans the carpet reasonably well I suppose. I have a huge issue with the hose. It's excessively long and sometimes retains the dirty water after you clean. If you tilt or position it the wrong way the trapped, dirty water can spill back out which is exactly as disgusting as it sounds. The dirty water tank is far too small and fills up very quickly so you have to stop and empty it constantly, a dreadful task. The cleaning is decent, the design flaws are very inconvenient
