Upped my bread-making game!
This proofing box is fantastic.I was a bit worried about getting a collapsible box and whether the soft sides would adequately hold the temperature. But I was wrong. The box maintains even temperature and humidity very well. The folding sides make it so easy to store compared to a hard-sided box.My only small complaint of the collapsible sides is that sometimes the zippers get stuck. However, with soft, folding sides, I’m not sure there is much to do to address that.My dough has been rising much better since I starting using the box. It rises higher and has a much nicer consistency. In the comments, some people complained about the instructions. I had no problem reading them and understanding how the controller worked. The unit comes with a small glass dish to fill with hot water to increase the humidity in the box. I found that the water cooled down pretty quickly. I swapped it out with a slightly larger prep bowl which seems to do a better job.The one issue I had is with the thermometer. They provide suction cup to stick to the inside of the viewing window. It stuck kind of well the first couple times but not after that. Now I cannot get it to stick for more than 1-2 seconds. My work around was to puncture a tiny hole in the window and insert the thermometer through that. It is working ok, but over time the hole is expanding. Once it’s a bit wider than the thermometer, it probably will stop. I suspect that the gap around the thermometer will be too small to materially affect the temperature and humidity control. But I will need to watch that and might have to find a new solution. It would be nice if the unit came with a reinforced rubber or plastic gasket in the top for the thermometer. That would prevent expansion and ensure a tight seal every time. However, the system works so well, especially for the price, that this small issue was not even worth deducting a star.

Two how-to tips for the proofing box
I purchased the Aurelema Proofing Box to ferment juices. The box is well constructed and easy to assemble.I was not familiar with the type of Temperature & Timer Controller that is included. The included instruction sheet referred to a Timing range 0-14H or Keep Working. I need the Keep Working setting because I ferment for more than 24 hours but the instructions do not indicate how to select Keep Working. Also, when I repeatedly pressed the Set button, an option of L03 came up. I didn't know what that meant.I contacted their customer and received a reply in less than a day. Actually, I contacted them twice and both times I had an almost immediate reply. If anyone has the same questions here are the answers.- Set the Timer to 0 hours to select the Keep Working option.- L01-L10 is the heating power, level 1-10, the higher the level, the faster the rate of heating will be.Level 1 is slow warming, level 10 is fast warming. The temperature does fluctuate +/- 1.5 degrees around the selected temperature. Overall I am very satisfied with the proofing box.

Works great - I'm glad I bought it.
I'm trying my hand at making sourdough starter and my first attempt was a complete failure because the temperature in my home kept the starter at 68 degrees. I attempted a couple of hacks to keep it above 75 degrees and nothing worked. At one point, the starter smelled so bad that I threw it out and had to air the house out. It wasn't 'sour'; it was rotten. I was hesitant about buying yet another gadget for my kitchen, but I love sourdough bread and it's gotten so expensive. I could not figure out how to set the timer, but I didn't need it because I have left the temperature set at 80 degrees for two weeks now to make the starter. I put the starter on a small wire rack inside the proofer so that it wasn't setting directly on the bottom. So far, it's working great, my starter is thriving, and it smells like it should. I am glad that I can fold it away when not in use because it does take up room on my counter while I'm making the starter. For other yeast baked breads, I use my bread maker on manual to start and then transfer to a bread pan. The proof setting on my oven is too hot so I will use this proofing box for the bread dough's 2nd rise after the initial rise in my bread maker's 'manual' setting.

Keeps the dough the right temperature
The proofing box does a good job holding the temperature for letting my dough rise. When it’s done, it folds away in a nice small space.

Mysterious brand with no backup
I was so excited to receive this dough proofing box yet was dismayed to not have a contact number for support, lack of instructions or information on error codes. The simple instruction sheet asks that customer 'contact us' for clarifications, yet I cannot find this company online. The brand 'Auralema' website states they are a jewelry company. Despite the lack of information the box is simple to set up. and kept a constant temperature of 70 degrees for my project. There is a 'Timing' option yet no instructions on how to set a time. I'm not excited about trial and error or hoping to figure out the operation of an appliance without support. Why am I guessing on functionality? This may be returned for that reason only.
