I'm not a carpenter
We bought our house as a little bit of a fixer upper. Unfortunately, we don't know how to fix much. At least not the right way. Our garage door definitely could use an update. Honestly, it could use a sledgehammer taken to it. It's rough. Unfortunately, a new door isn't in the budget. It doesn't have anything around it to seal the elements from my garage. Bugs get in, rain, cold drafts, heat, whatever it might be it gets in. I ordered this to try and combat some of that. The installation seemed simple enough. It wasn't. I attempted the top first with the adhesive and as soon as I turned to grab my drill, it came crashing down. Probably should have known to try and do it section by section and maybe have someone help hold it up but again, I am not a carpenter. I will leave that to Jesus. Since it fell, he seal probably isn't 100% secure. But it reached the door and doesn't keep it from operating. Win #1. I then went to do the sides. I did it in small sections and the seal stayed a lot better. The main problem then was just my frame itself being ghetto and not flat. My measurements weren't spot on for the corners so I took small pieces and made a little corner cover. Looks like the door for the Clampett's garage but for the time being it'll work and hopefully will help keep something out of my garage.

Garage weather trim
Great product, fairly easy to instal. However after removing the old trim, there is quite a bit of pre work to do before installing the new trim. The old surface needs to be sanded and clean so the new trim will stick. After that you need to put on a coat of paint to protect the wood.

Easy to install.
Really nice quality. The material was really easy to cut which was a plus. Seals great

Does the job. Sealed up my garage door.
Really liked how it remains flexible even in cold weather. Sealed up the drafty gaps.

Rubber is tough and inflexible.
This item is very stiff. Either that or my garage door is broken. If installed properly, I cannot close or open the garage door. There is nothing wrong with my garage door. This item doesn’t want to bend at 90 degrees so when raising or lowering the door, it’s so stiff the weight of my garage door can’t push the hard rubber without causing the door to suddenly stop.I’ve removed it and will have to move it away 1/2” from the door.

Does not work great on the upper side as it will snag the door if it is a good fit
I ordered this for a 8x8 garage door that I had built on a lean to and because there was a huge gap at the top I wanted something to cover that area.I figured this would work and it does somewhat but since the door gets 'bigger' when it rolls up it presses outward and will catch. I moved the top seal 5 times trying to make it work perfectly and it just makes the gap when your door is closed bigger and bigger. The way I settled on is that it does rub a decent amount when it is about 3 feet from the top but it closes good enough. As you can see there is a gap when the door is closed but it is better than it was. The pull against the seal when the door is going up is enough right not to pull the seal off some but the screws hold it.On the sides this would work as a better seal but I did not want to use it on the side as that was not an issue with letting air and water in for me.Overall, this is a decent seal kit but don't expect the top to be perfect or be against the door when it is down all the way. The plastic screw covers are a nice look and helps keep the screws from pulling through the seal when you are screwing them in. Oh, make sure to use an electric drill for installation or it will be very painful.
