An absolute game changer. In conjunction with an espresso maker it opens up all sorts of milk coffees, but it also makes amazing hot chocolate and Ovaltine. I even use it for hot milk on my Weetabix! The removable milk jug makes it so much easier to clean than other frothers — a big step up from my old Lavazza one. Highly recommended.

I love this milk frother! Previously I'd used an Aldi hot chocolate maker, and although I was happy with it's frothing ability, it wasn't very durable - the milk would always start to stick to one side of the base & eventually it would burn on. This one has a dishwasher safe stainless steel jug, and I've never had any milk stick to it. I've been using it at least once a day for the last month. I've tried making Latte, Cappuccino & cold milk froth for iced latte, and it's been good for all. It copes with my weird mix of half skimmed milk & half barista oat milk, or skimmed milk or oat milk alone. My only issue is that when I first got it, I thought I was supposed to set the temperature on the right side of the control panel. I'd do this after choosing my milk & froth type - and I just wasn't getting any froth. Customer service told me that I shouldn't use the right side of the panel for frothing milk - that side's just for mixing powdered drinks like protein shakes or hot chocolate powder. I would definitely recommend it.

I've had two of these over the past two years. The first i bought during the initial kickstarter campaign, the other just two months from the time of writing. Lets start with the good. The functionality and range of different milk consistencies you can get is second to none that i've tried. Whilst 3 mins or so may be too much for some during their morning coffee ritual i can honestly say its worth it to get what this machine produces. Smooth, hot and perfectly frothy every time. In addition, washing the metal jug is a breeze and appreciated that i can throw it in the dishwasher if needed. Now, the reason im writing this review. Both of the frothers that i have bought have broken during use. The bottom part that allows you to select your froth type stops working and no longer turns on. Both times i have had the same issue. This seems like a fundamental flaw with the product's design rather than a coincidental failure. Given my experience with the device, i fortunately took insurance out on it during my second purchase. I would strongly recommend anyone considering this product to do the same so as to avoid the heartbreak of not getting your coffee fix when you need it most. Overall a glass cannon of a product, delivering exceptional results with what appears to be a high rate of failure. Thanks for reading

Very good for cappuccino and latte art

Lovely smooth milk hot chocolate and easy to clean in dish washer. Only downside is that it isn't quite hot enough. I bought this model because of different temperature settings but still not quite hot enough for me.

Froth levels diminished significantly on same settings. Despite regular cleaning and same whole milk. Started brilliant but within weeks it's shown to be of poor consistency.

Ich habe meine Milch bisher mit der Dampflanze einer Pratika Espressomaschine (Zweikreiser) erstellt. Das klappte mal gut und mal weniger gut. Der Dreo war für meine Eltern als Alternative gedacht um in Zusammenarbeit mit einer ESE Pad Maschine (Didiesse Frog) einen akzeptablen Cappucino zu erstellen. Folgendes sollte man wissen. Der Dreo braucht etwas Zeit. Man muss die verschiedenen Milcharten/sorten testen. Auch die Füllhöhe trägt zu unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen bei. Was aber toll ist. Hat man erstmal seine Einstellungen gefunden produziert der Dreo konstant guten Milchschaum. Und dieser entspricht nicht dem üblichen Bauschaum, den ein Milchaufschäumer vom Discounter erzeugt. Anfangs war ich sogar etwas überrascht. Eine so sämige Textur hatte ich vorher nur selten und auch nur mit bestimmter Milch erzeugt. Latte Art ist damit problemlos möglich. Die Reinigung: Der Dreo ist hier gut konstruiert. Keine offenen Kontakte und ein Edelstahlbehältnis in dem die Milch erhitzt wird. Blöde ist nur, auch wenn ich nach sofortiger Nutzung den Milchaufschäumer mit Wasser durchspüle, bleibt am Boden immer ein wenig haften. Der Einsatz eines Schwams ist somit unumgänglich. Auf der anderen Seite...keine Antihaftbeschichtung die abblättern könnte. Purer Edelstahl welcher den Dreo auch langlebig macht. Einschränkungen: Es könnte sein, dass der Dreo für zwei Personen nicht ausreichend Milchschaum erzeugt. Das kommt dann natürlich drauf an bei welcher Füllhöhe man landet. Probieren ist angesagt. Meine Eltern finden aber Bauschaum toll. Und deshalb bleibt der Dreo bei mir. Die Dampflanze der Pratika kommt dann nur noch bei Besuch zum Einsatz. Denn für 5 Personen etc. Milchschaum zu erzeugen....dafür ist der Dreo das falsche Tool. Aber für meinen täglichen Cappu ist der Dreo nun gesetzt. Perfekter Milchschaum auf Knopfdruck. Ich habe den Dreo im Angebot für 99€ gekauft. Wer Cappucino liebt der wird diesen Betrag sicher investieren. Und wenn man die Maschine mit den 25€ Maschinen vom Discounter vergleicht.....das Ergebnis entscheidet. Nachtrag: Die verschiedenen Einstellungen Hafermilch etc. sind nur marginal unterschiedlich. Und was ich nur empfehlen kann. Den fertigen Milchschaum in ein herkömmliches Milchkännchen um gießen. Dann verschwinden die letzten Luftblasen.

For some time I have been looking for an alternative to a steam wand for getting good micro foam in milk. My wife and I drink a mocha latte every day. I got decent results with the steam wand on the Breville Bambino Plus, but I wanted a standalone alternative. I had tried the Maestri House unit and several wands. The Maestri House is good at producing large amounts of thick foam for a cappuccino, but I could never get it to create micro foam for lattes. Well, the Dreo does this perfectly. It is very high quality micro foam that is smooth and silky. It has a distinct creamy mouth feel that is unmistakable. For best results use whole milk. This is a great product that does exactly what it claims to do. EDIT: 05-07-2025 Out of the box this is a great product. Unfortunately, it is built to a price point that, at least in my case, meant that its performance did not last. I have had this for about 4 1/2 months using it it almost daily, and it is no longer creating the excellent microfoam it did when new. Moreover, it is no longer even able to heat the milk sufficiently. New, I consistently got milk in the 140-150F range. Today, I measured 114F at the end of the cycle. Very disappointing. I can no longer recommend this product.

I had originally purchased the Bodum unit but it broke within a week of use! The single canister design is bad as inevitably some moisture will get to the bottom electric contacts for these type of units. The Dreo is a two-piece unit, so cleaning the cup area is easy and safe. So that is a big plus, don't waste your money and time on any brand one-piece design, get a two-piece. Now onto the Dreo itself. My wife uses it for Almond and Oat Milk only and it works fantastic! With the regular spinner, froths great and heats up evenly and effectively. Also, it is very very quiet, almost hard to hear it running so this is a great bonus that no reviews mentioned! The menu is easy to navigate and to select what you would like from froth to temp, etc. We have not tried the larger impeller blade, as the regular one works like a charm. Almost 2 weeks now of daily use, and works like a charm every time! I highly recommend this Dreo unit as it seems built to last, is easy to use and clean, and offers so many options/settings to customize what you want. A definate 5-star product and thanks!
