Coleman 4/6/8/10 Person Skydome Dark Room Tent with Rainfly, 5 Minute Setup, Blocks 90% of Sunlight, 20% More Headroom Than Traditional Tents

This tent is great!! I do a lot of solo camping so it is easy to set up. I enjoy the blackout at night; gives me little more security and privacy. It did well with a light shower and found no leaks. It has enough room for me; I can stand up in the center of the tent and have plenty of room with all my other equipment.. It’s better easy to take down by myself as well..

A blackout tent is exactly what we needed to get our toddler to take naps and sleep past 5am while camping. Coleman is a reputable brand and we appreciate that they offer a Pfas Free option. While I was able to set up the tent by myself I found it pretty challenging and the job went much faster with a partner the next time we pitched it. Take down is easy and the bag has a zipper to expand if you can't quite get it rolled as small as it was out of the factory. I will say that technically some light gets through on the bottom third or so of the tent. The top is all mesh so the rain fly is really what keeps everything dark, but when you properly stake the rain fly the way it flares for ventilation does let some light in. We camped in a coastal area that was very wet (moisture dripping from the air like rain) and we stayed dry all night. There was no noticeable condensation inside in the morning so it was well ventilated. We haven't tried this in a hot climate yet so I can't speak to whether it stays cool or not. All in all the tent was definitely much darker than any other tent we have ever tried, and the quality was what you'd expect from a brand like Coleman. We are looking forward to many more years of family camping trips with this tent.

I ordered this tent twice. The first time it was defective pre-attached poles were broken where they attach to the tent, and there is no back up way to attach them. So the tent was unusable. Based on the reviews, I figured I just had a defective one, so I ordered the same tent again. It was dirty and used. I didn't even take it out all the way to see if it was broken too. But I won't be ordered this one again! I ordered the Coleman 6-person Dark Room Sundome and it seems to be fine so far.

Very decent tent. Pretty easy 10 min set up with 1 adult. Kept water out in light rain. The “blackout” feature is legit. The tent stayed plenty dark even with headlights going past on an access road close to camp. The size is pretty standard for a 4 person tent, but the dome allows for a bit of room to move while crouched. I was able to change clothes in it without issue. The only downside is that it leaches heat. There is a gap between the inner tent and rainfly which allows heat to escape (on other tents I’ve had they touch and retain heat better. This is probably better in summer rather than the fall weather I had it out in.

I havre used this tent a lot. I am on my second one. main complaints first - its wind tolerance is barely what they say. it has to be perfectly pitched with every single line perfectly tied down. fair enough. I had a rod crack from moderate gusts though. it's just a bad tent to pitch if there isn't anything to block the wind. the whole thing flexes in an exaggerated way. its surprising it doesn't break at lower gusts like 20 mph second ... t just breaks down over time I had it under a tree fire a few months in central Texas (march thru June) it was pretty well sheltered from elements and midday sun I used it on a few drips last summer and by the fall it was easily tearing. similar to clothing that becomes threadbare. I got a few tears in perfectly straight lines I did get a new one. I like the design. I love being able to take the fly off and sunbathe. I did get the warranty on the new tent.

Nice tent, very dark, however in multiple spots on the rainfly the seam tape does not cover the stitching and light/water can come right through. we bought 2 tents and it was on both of them. we bought seam sealer since we needed the tents and no replacements available on amazon. colemon customer service isnt helpful when purchased through amazon. decent value for the money, but know you will need to waterproof it yourself.

Amazing tent! I wanted a tent where at night people outside cant see your silhouette if your have a lantern on inside. This does just that. Its easy to set up too, we ditched our pop up tent because this packs smaller and set up time wasn't too different.
