Many people have flown remote control airplanes - even more have flown remote control helicopters - but we bet you've never flown a remote control bird before! Our remote control bird is easy to fly, and the detailed instruction manual will have you going in minutes! E-bird flaps its wings just like a real bird, climbing, swooping, and diving through the air. A rudder on the birds tail allows you to direct the birds left or right. You can control the speed of the wings to make the bird climb higher and fly faster, or to just hover in place. Constructed from lightweight and durable materials, our remote control bird is unlikely to break in a crash, and since it weighs less than half an ounce, you can fly it indoors without worrying about your household items. The bird is capable of controlled flight within up to 70 feet, meaning you can let it soar way above your head. If it gets out of range the wings will lock, allowing the bird to gently glide until it reaches the ground. Available in four different models to choose: Blue Pigeon, Green Parrot, Pink Butterfly and Orange Phoenix.

26 bucks well spent
My 3 year old loves this bird.It is easy to fly and makes cool bird sounds. The face lights up which looks cool at night. One problem I noticed could be the charger and on and off switch combo could break but that should be an easy fix with a little solder. The bird can fly fast by straightening the elevator on the tail or raising it to make the bird fly almost into a stall which makes it easier to fly in small spaces and do loops if given full throttle. If you have cats or dogs, the go nuts for it but could easily tear it up but they have a blast chasing it.I have to say this was the best 26 bucks I have spent in a long time.updat 12-10-12Well here to tell how this bird is holding up.It has seen many crashes and had many kids flying it.The only thing broke was the nose but was hot glued back on.The charger is tougher than I thought. On one occasion we were at the local park flying this bird and an old fellow was watching from a distance and made the comment,"That one angy bird, must have babies around."lolupdate 3-4-13After putting this bird away for a few moths,I tried to fly it but the bird will no longer turn on.RIP little bird.

awesome orinthopter
I have played with the dragonfly orinthopter made by a different company and I can say that this one blows it away! Not only is it faster but it can fly slower and with more control authority! This bird uses a actual rudder to make it turn whereas the dragonfly uses a prop. With the right amount of wind outdoors you can make this bird stay in one spot, seemingly hovering. I find it actually has too much power and will climb forever and near vertical if you use full throttle. The controller range is lacking a bit and it makes me want to get one of eflites servo rcvr speed control units for their micro planes and put it into this bird to give more control(elevator and rudder) and range not to mention replaceable batteries. It is really a fun rc orinthopter to fly. I just wish it came with a spare set of wings and a bit more range to ensure you don't lose control! I definately recommend this for anyone, just keep it away from your dog and cat or they will want to attack it and it will break if that happens! I have a test flight video of this rc bird on my youtube channel. Zephyrplanes It is shot in slow motion and hi definition. Check it out on youtube search for zephyrplanes rc bird test flight

A Hoot
I'm both impressed and disappointed with this product lol. I wasn't expecting much, but was sorely disappointed to see that it's basically made of Styrofoam, thin plastic, and a few wires. However, when we powered it up, the flying capabilities exceeded my expectations (as well as my son's).This is best flown in a good kite flying location. All you need is one little gust of wind to send your bird sailing off into the neighbor's pool. The box says not to operate this in high wind. I say it's best to operate it when the air is incredibly still and in a *really* large open space. My son tried his bird out before we were very far into the park. Although we weren't very close to the street at the time, he almost lost it to the expressway below, thanks to a gust of wind. Twelve more inches and it would have been the worst 8th birthday ever.I do hope that once he gets the hang of the controls it's something he can take out to the backyard on a still day. But for now it's only good for a wide open field... far away from main streets lol.I'll give the bird a pass on the building material, because I assume it needs to be made out of something that is not very susceptible to major damage when it hits the ground. And, it also needs to be light weight. But, with it being so delicate, it's something that will have to be put away till we're going to a big park on a non-windy day.Compared to little helicopters and such that I've bought in the same price range, this little guy flies much farther and higher than the rest. (It has also outlasted the new helicopter he *just* got for his birthday.) So, even if it doesn't last very long I still say it was worth the price, as my son was not disappointed at all. We were both impressed by how well it flew.

Was broken in the box - total waste of money
Had to repair it on Christmas Day straight from the box as a wing structure was broken. My older 13-yr old daughter bought both pink and blue ones for twin sisters with her own money. Both pink and blue units did not have enough power to lift the birds off the ground. If you gave a slight toss up into air, the RC unit would help give them control to the ground. As one twin said, it was a better toy without the RC part. In our opinion, $5 would have been paying too much for these toys. The manufacturer should be ashamed to charge so much for a toy that doesn't work the way it claims to work. At the end of Christmas Day, both birds went into trash because they simply did not work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

oh my.....what a joke
I bought two of these, one for each of my children. We couldn't wait to fly them, based on the other reviews I read. But my goodness...did I get duds or what! They do not hover, they do not turn when you want them to & they nose dive! They are made from Styrofoam junk. Our beak broke when the bird took a nose dive, the other birds tail broke in the first hour. Not to mention.....interference between the two. The remotes failed to work more than 1/2 the time. One remote would control the wrong bird. So my kids could not be close to each other to fly, they had to take turns. Just a waste of money on these. I did return them, with no problem so far. I should be receiving my refund any day now.
