ZealSound Multifunction Metal Hose Arm, 13 inch Microphone Gooseneck, Stand Extension for Mic Floor Stand

First off, let me start with how much I HATED goosenecks. Had them at a residency for almost 10yrs and they either fell apart or stripped the base 1-3 times per year. I put these into use ON THE ROAD (2-3 shows weekly) for over a year, and neither the base or gooseneck even showed signs of weakening. Every bit as stable as when I got them, and they've been bent to every shape imaginable, as they were used by various people singing from various heights and distances on a piano. They were perfectly compatible with the only "heavy duty" strength base I found on Amazon. Mounting/Assembly couldn't be any easier, because you just screw on the base (which turns independent) and then the mic clip can also be put on independently. This was actually the original product that introduced me to ZealSound and I jump at the opportunity to use anything else of theirs that I've found, because they're always top notch.

Works good

I needed this to mount a large condenser mic and close the screen for my audio work. This one is nice and stiff and doesn't sag like the previous gooseneck mount that I had. The microphone assembly and pop screen on mine weigh about a pound and 1/2 and they don't even budge with this particular gooseneck

I have several other flexible extensions I use for microphones, and was a little disappointed when I opened the package. This one is smaller in diameter and the male side is not round and only threaded on 2 sides. I tried it anyway and it appears to work okay, although was hard to get it to thread on to the microphone holder and stand. It is doing what I want, so didn't send it back. It is very stiff and hard to get in the right shape, but appears to hold it's shape once formed.

This microphone stand seemed great! I was initially worried that the top of the retaining screw didn't have a silicone or rubber pad like th top of the clamp did, but I thought it should be okay. Eventually, though, that lack of a pad plus the top of the retaining screw being exposed, plus the design letting me keep turning the screw beyond where it should have stopped, all combined to let me overturn the screw so that it started angling and then drilling into the bottom of my desk so hard that, when I later tried to remove the desk mount, I bend the lever to the point where it was useless. When I switched to using a monkey wrench,the ball broke off. Now I have a clamp I don't trust and can't really use (without that lever) and a scar/hole under my desk. I might look for a similar microphone stand, as its reach was a good match for my space, but I'll have to be more discerning about that clamp mechanism. If this one is the only option, I think I'd have to find a way to attach a metal plate with a silicone pad atop it to the top of that retaining screw before I'd feel safe enough to use it...and maybe find a way to introduce a stop for the screw so I can know to stop even without watching under the desk while securing it. For now...I'll look for other options and either return this if I find something or exchange it if I can't.

This particular mic stand accommodates a wide range of microphones this one is excellent💯

It's sturdy and perfect for what I needed.

Exactly what I wanted. I'm not using it in the way anyone else will, but my requirements were for a very stiff goose neck that I can manipulate and be confident that wind wont adjust. This fits the bill.

Très bon support pour microphone. La fixation est solide et facile à ajuster. J'ai ajouté un petit coussin (protection de pattes) pour protéger la surface où j'installe le support. Il serait intéressant d'avoir une écrou supplémentaire pour ajuster la grippe du micro. La première partie rigide est parfaite pour empêcher le support de toucher à mon laptop et passer au dessus de l'écran.

Screw connecting boom to post threaded within a few months. Outside of retreading the metal rod, the product is useless. Edit: the company reached out and offered a full refund so I uplifted the review to 4 stars as it was good while it worked but needed to be refunded do to defective screw
