This worked so great to warm up water in our camper. I filled a dish pan and put it in and plugged it in. No touching while plugged in!!!! I waited about 15 mins and had to add cold water my first time. We will use for dish washing and bucket shower, as our water heater went out. We can’t have the electric heater plugged in at the same time, but not a problem, because it doesn’t take long to warm the water. I love the idea and small size. Just follow the instructions to fully immerse the heater and don’t touch the water while heating element is plugged in!!! This would be ideal in a generator situation too! I may purchase another to keep at home for those electricity outages.

It just stopped working after 6 weeks. It was great while it lasted. I used it every day. I cannot figure out how to contact the seller for a possible replacement so I am sad. I bought two of them. Both stopped working. I was careful to make sure they were always immersed when turned on and they were drained and stored on a rack when not using. No way to repair them. I suspect the thermostat in it is defective.

I tried to use this in a vinyl solar shower. I presumed that the metal outside sleeve would prevent the heating element from melting the vinyl. That proved incorrect and the solar shower bag got holes burned into it. However, this heater quickly heats 5 gallons of water. I was very surprised by the speed in which it heats. If I used this to heat water in a metal bucket and then pour it into the solar shower, that might work. If you are going to use this to heat water in a metal container, it might be perfect.

I own a skull cleaning business and this works great for degreasing them. I do it outside and it keeps the temperature right where I want it.

The cord needs to be longer than

I was excited to test this immersion heater out. Unfortunately every time I plugged it in it shut my electric down. I don’t know if it’s faulty or just uses a ridiculous amount of power but I can’t imagine using this in a camping situation when running on an inverter or a solar powered jackery.

Covient way to heat water .

It takes about 30 minutes to fully heat tap cold water. Very versatile being able to use it in either metal or plastic. Water does get scalding hot if it’s left unattended or if the water is already warm when being heated. I’ve been using this unit daily for 55 days. I’ve ordered a second one.
