These tires were for a Mercedes we no longer have so I can not check the tires at the this point. I know what you are talking about, the 'rim protector', and I do not recall this being a selling point or seeing the extra ridge on the face of the tire. The tires were great, though... I highly recommend. **Q: Are these the 40ZR 18 ?** A: Yes. **Q: Where is this tire made ?** A: Made in Indonesia since 1996, Forceum has established itself as a formidable force in the tire industry with a presence in over 90 countries. At Forceum, we're dedicated to safe driving and are constantly striving to improve driver comfort, safety, and durability without compromising on tire performance. β€”-from their website **Q: Hello, those are run flat?** A: Hello, thank you for reaching out. No, sadly these are not Run-Flat. ## Frequently Bought Together - Forceum Octa All Season 245/40R20 99Y XL Passenger Tire - Landspider Citytraxx H/P All-Season Passenger Car High Performance Radial Tire-255/40R18 255/40ZR18 255/40/18 255/40-18 99W Load Range XL 4-Ply BSW Black Side Wall UTQG 420AA - Evoluxx Capricorn UHP All-Season Truck/SUV High Performance Radial Tire-275/35R20 275/35/20 275/35-20 102Y Load Range XL 4-Ply Bsw UTQG 480AA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/653246605-forceum-octa-all-season-passenger-car-high-performance-radial-tire](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/653246605-forceum-octa-all-season-passenger-car-high-performance-radial-tire) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
