great walkie-talkie, but not like American WTs
I had very low expectations, having tried other Chinese WTs. These Baofengs don't have the usual features you get from Midland or Motorola. No display, no Call button, no roger beep, no choice of CTCSS tones. You change channels up/down with the side buttons and a tinny voice announces it. Also the rubber buttons on the side are too easily pressed. I ripped out the rubber with pliers and I can now use the buttons with a screw driver or pen point. The good news is these WTs have excellent transmit and receive, with 1.3 Watts power (according to FCC ID 2AJGM-T26). Sound is excellent. Has rotary volume control, not annoying button-press. Rotary control is also power on-off. A single LED to indicate xmit/recv. And very light-weight only 102g with battery (by my scale). Recharge battery with USB-C. And the WT is low-priced. When you go from one channel to the next, you get pre-programmed CTCSS/DCS tones. For example, if you choose "Ch. 6", you get FRS 6 with CTCSS tone 22 (141.3 Hz), or "Ch. 8" you get FRS 15 and CTCSS 19. See below. This works fine if you're using two or more Baofeng T26 models -- the announced channels match up. But if you want to talk to a Midland or a Motorola, you need to program the other one to use the actual channel and squelch tone that the T26 uses. For example, T26 Ch. 6 will talk with a Midland set for Ch. 6 CTCSS Tone 22. I found a list of actual tones and channels on a Facebook post, but it was for Baofeng T96. Someone had very nicely tested all the channels and figured out their actual FRS channel numbers, freqs, and CTCSS/DCS tones. This gave me the idea to do the same for T26. However, I could not figure out any of the DCS tones. It is a strange setup, maybe it conforms with some radio in another country (not USA). Remember that CTCSS and DCS are not "privacy" modes. There is nothing private on the air. It's just a way to block transmissions from other radios that are not set on the same tone as you. But set your CTCSS or DCS tones to Off and you can hear ALL transmissions on that channel, regardless of the other person's tone setting. Anyway, 5 stars for excellent xmit/recv, sound quality, and light weight. Order of columns: announced channel, squelch tone (CTCSS except DCS as noted), "normal" FRS channel 1 ......... 1 ..,.......... 1 2 ......... 2 ............ 2 3 ......... 19 ........... 3 4 ......... 20 ........... 4 5 ......... 21 ........... 5 6 ......... 22 ........... 6 7 ......... 23 ........... 7 8 ......... 19 ........... 15 9 ......... ? dcs .... 16 10 ...... ? dcs .... 17 11 ...... 18 ........... 18 12 ...... ? dcs .....19 13 ...... ? dcs .....20 14 ...... ? dcs .....21 15 ...... 21 ........... 22 16 ....... ? ............. 23

Good quality
For the price, amazing quality. Good range. Battery life is good for a full day being on, but expect to have to charge every night.

Great for outdoor camping
These walkie-talkies work perfectly. Weโve tested them at a range of at least 2 km, and the communication remains clear. They feature a volume control that also serves as the power on/off switch, along with multiple channel options. We also tried syncing them with other walkie-talkies by using the same channel, but it didnโt work, so they donโt appear to be compatible with other brands. Weโve been using them for two months without needing to recharge them, so the battery life is excellent.

Baofeng Tโ Slim radio
Purchased this radio cuz I want a slim minimalistic type radio and I was amazed with the price for two units and did not hesitate to buy it, some buyers complaint about the features, lets be realistic you paid a $17 radio and you expect more? so here are the the pros its slim form factor, light, no complicated buttons, usb-c charging, no digital display but there is a voice when changing channels, 16 channels with scan, one knob controls volume and power OFF/ON with squelch button, with LED transmit and receive indicator and here the the things to consider in the design because its cheap so they try to cut some corners , battery is built-in non removable unless you will open the casing, antenna is also fixed so you cant change it, did not test the distance just an estimate maybe half a mile without obstacles, battery life may vary on usage and until now I have a hard time finding the VOX , overall quality is not bad not flimsy, its portable and slim, easy control few buttons, good for short distance usage like schools, church, construction site, for the price Cant complain, wish I have these when I was a kid, I remember having those 2way toy radios that are noisy cuz they are in fixed squelch mode and I have to volume down, anyways Recommend this Baofeng radios..

Easy to use and lightweight
Good set of walkies for around the house. Lightweight but excellent performance. I use these to call my husband when he is out of sight or working in the shed. Sound quality is very good and they are easy to charge/easy to use too. Have not and any issues with cross talk or static but that may be an issue is more densely populated areas. Plenty of channels to switch to if needed. Headset is included but we are not using those. Battery life is great, I recharge every 2-3 days as needed. Would recommend

Meh. Serve their purpose, but that's where the positives end.
I'd love to say I love these, but I can't. But they do serve their purpose. My husband and I are able to talk to each other without yelling down the hall, and the battery charge lasts a pretty long time. They do, however, have a connection problem when you plug in the ear piece. You have to jiggle it every once in a while in order to get it to connect. I generally use it without the ear piece, because I just don't want to deal with it. I did speak to other people who own these, and they have the same issue. They were inexpensive, and most of the time we can hear each other well. The range is okay -- good for what we use it for.

NOT Programmable.
They are NOT Programmable (Iโll help you out with this. Straight to point) and that is the sole reason I bought them. That should be listed in description very big. They are not supported by BaoFeng so there is no program for it. CHRIP does not support it, BaoFeng do not support it on their own website. Otherwise, itโs slim, lightweight, loud and I love all that but I canโt use it.
