It works well.
Only just started to use it, but so far it seems to be more than good enough for what I need it for (Macro) not sure how powerful it would be used for any distance. Controls are good and easy to navigate. Not too big which is another good feature.

A good flash to use with a6500 and 18-135 zoom
I bought this today to use with my a6500/18-135 combo as the built-in flash casts shadows due to the lense and is underpowered. I'm very pleased to report that the flash worked in TTL mode just by plugging it in and seems to give full coverage for the entire zoom range. Bounce mode (which has always been my preference) works beautifully. The size of the flash is ideal for the a6500 and feels well-balanced. It may not be the most powerful of flash guns, but for its size it does a great job.

Just brilliant!
I had never heard of this little chap until I read an article about what other wedding photographers had in their bags. The article had a layout of gear photo and then description. One photographer used three of these instead of bigger speedlites. I have godox v860iii lights for my Sony gear and they are great but big and bulky. I bought this as a comparison and the size is tiny! The output is therefore less but it is more than enough for dancefloor pics or walk around in low light receptions. I will get a couple more of these too to use instead of v860iii at events and weddings for the light weight. I got the AA battery version because of the low price and have used the same batteries at three weddings and a high school prom so far and not needed to change them.

Brilliant little flashgun
This is a really neat flashgun - quite small, but plenty powerful enough for everyday use. Only takes 2 batteries, as you would expect in a small flash, but will still do several hundred flashes per set. Works reliably with my Sony A7iii, and has the advantage of working wirelessly with other Godox flashes, either as slave or master. Definitely a keeper!

Don't waste your money
Godox is good with their bigger flashes, but this is like a joke, and if this is your first introduction to Godox products, you might have a very wrong impression of what they're doing. Just like the Sony F32M, this is quite a useless flashgun for almost anything. I can't imagine a scenario where this could be practical and reliable. Cycle time is terrible- even on low power, it struggles to keep up. AlsoTTL from this doesn't work as expected- probably because of slow recycle time; it gives super inconsistent results with one being very dark and then other is blown out. I've had similar issues with cheap Yongnuo TTLs in the past, the same problem with this. White balance- the colour temperature is very inconsistent and is also towards blue-ish, typical to all cheap Yongnuo flashes; those who used them will know what I mean. Build- nice and small, but the mounting screw is another sign of cheap stuff which is difficult to work with. Honestly, I can't imagine this Speedlight to be useful in any use case. It's totally unreliable as you don't know if the shot will be correctly exposed or no, even in fully manual mode, it gives very random results. Then there is colour temperature- blueish tint all over your photos, impossible to correct in post production. Yes, it is small and feels right on a mirrorless camera body, but that's about it. Stay away from this if you're looking to use it for a paid job.

A portrait king for Mirrorless
The Sony A7 models do not include a flash - this Godox is a perfect starting point. Size and weight is what makes this flash a convenient choice, the larger 685/860 models have more power but are a lot bigger and bulkier and makes the whole package a little unbalanced, less of an issue with DSLR’s which have large bodies to begin with. No experience shooting off camera with a trigger but believe the reviews these flashes are very good for the money. Especially when OEM flashes cost SIGNIFICANTLY more. The niggles - admittedly does not feel as premium as the camera. Cannot see flash power when in TTL (auto) mode, so you can’t tell how much the flash will fire, which makes it difficult to determine if a poor photo is down to flash, exposure, white balance, shutter speed, iso or aperture. Less of an issue when shooting manual because then everything is in your control and you can make incremental adjustments to one setting at a time and review the effects in real time.

Works for me
Nice little flashgun. Not particularly powerful but it's not described as anything else. Quite well made and very straightforward to use. Plenty of options, most of which I'll probably never use - TTL will be the mode for me - ideal for my use of the occasional family get-together etc. The only caveat I have is that care is needed when removing it from the camera hot shoe as it's a bit fiddly and there's a possibility of breaking it. Overall though I'm happy.
