Excellent product
Purchased Dec 2019 for my elderly mother. This was so easy to set up. I can't see how anyone could go wrong entering the 3 phone numbers for the unit to dial out to. Recording the short message (which the person who answers hears), was also very easy. OK, the message can only be maximum 6 seconds long but surely that is enough to say 'Mums alarm alert, press any number key to respond'...that's adequate. We tested many times before leaving it with her. The wrist button and the pendant worked perfectly every time in any position around the house and the unit continues to dial the numbers one after another until it gets a response. The intercom voice communication facility which activates when a person responds is useful but the person in the house where the unit is installed will need to be right near the base unit otherwise the responder can't hear them on their phone. However, we decided that we'd just use this for the responder to announce that they have received the alarm call and they're on their way by just speaking into their phone. They can then be heard through the base unit speaker at quite a loud volume and Mum will hear this wherever she is in the house. We think this is adequate for our situation as we're only a few minutes drive away and she'll know we're on our way....we don't need a big conversation going on...just get the alert, say we're on our way and turn up. It's an alert system, not a telephone. We can always ring her on her normal landline phones if we want a conversation before we turn up. Can't yet comment on reliability as only had it for a few days and we've not had any false alarms yet. Recommend you try this before you sign up to some monthly paid system which all looked quite expensive to us. Some other reviews mention about replacing batteries in the wrist alarm and pendants and say there are no instructions on how to do this but there are a couple of small screws at the back which need to be unscrewed to remove the battery compartment cover...simples!

Peace of mind for me and my mum
SureSafe Personal Alarms 1 Pendant & 1 Wristband + 1 FREE SPARE WRISTBAND OAP Fall Care Alert Combo - Medical Alarm/Alert for Seniors/Elderly. Old Person Pendant SOS Device for Independent Living. 12 Month Warranty from an International Emergency Alarms Device Company. I purchased this item for my mum after she developed a medical condition and lived on her own. She has heart problems and asked if i could get something that would help her get help should she have a fall or an episode. The package arrived quickly and was easily installed by my brother. It works fine dialling the pre programed numbers to get help. The only minus point we have found so far is the sound quality on the speaker unit once button has been pressed and the emergency contact is trying to talk to my mum, there voice is audible and mum is able to understand them but the quality is not good. This has though given me some peace of mind as i live on the other side of the country and it has given my mum some peace of mind knowing she can get some help when she needs it.

Very good product
This is a great product if you don’t want a monthly subscription and you want it to come to your personal phones rather than through a careline. Really easy to set up. Just plug in and connect to phone line. There is instruction how to set up the 3 phone numbers very easy to follow and set up. My only problem I had was when we activated the alarm we did not know how to accept the “call alarm” did not state this in the instruction. I had to contact the manufactures. However, could not fault them they called me and emailed back within a day and was really helpful. To accept the call you answer then you need to press number 5 and to end the call you need to press 9. 2 different pendents come with it. One in a watch from other in a pendent so suit everyone. Has a two way speaker so you can speak and get a response. Very good product. Helped to give back independence and put our minds at ease.

Excellent product so far and easy to set up
I got this for my dad as he fell overnight and was on the floor for approximately 5 hrs and no-one could hear him calling. I was trying to avoid having to pay a subscription service and this product fitted the bill. My only concern was that the description had "Not suitable for homes with new fibre optic/digital phonelines ". The 'line' was switched from a splitter on the actual BT line to a BT socket on the Sky router and I suspected it would work so I ordered. The provided splitter fitted fine on the router and I could plug the home phone and the Suresafe in. After recording a message and configuring the phone numbers we tested and my mum's phone rang with the message I'd recorded. We tested from the furthest part of the house and it didn't work so I changed the position of the base unit and we got to to work fine. So far it seems to be just what we needed as long as my dad wears it...

Really good product, easy to set up and works well.. one small but though
This is the initial review of the product, having received it yesterday and set it up for initial testing sign-off and use. Firstly the delivery service was very good, it was ordered on wednesday evening scheduled to come on Saturday and it arrived on Friday, all packed well and contained everything needed. In the below, I am going to refer to the person initiating the call as "Caller" and the person receiving the call as "Receiver" for ease of explanation. Setup once I worked out where the microphone was, was very easy .. all parts plugged in easily and the switch on very simple. Batteries are a little hard to get in as the springs are opposite each other meaning the lower battery is harder to add but I made it work and all power on. Recording the message was simple - we had to do it a number of times as we weren't talking to the microphone slot which is at the front of the device, and not by the picture of the microphone (which is the light indicator at the back it seems - don't get confused). The Caller pressed the alarm and it says the message (over and over and over and over) - It would be useful to have some kind of acknowledge button on the base unit to cut off the call - that only comes from the acknowledgement from the call receiver - as a result if the Caller wants to switch it off they had to switch the unit off and on, which feels a bit draconian and counter intuitive. Anyway we set it up, added one phone number and it dialled and it plays the message - there does not appear to be a synchronisation between the message playing and the call answer - the message play seems to be every n seconds and is invoked from the base unit. If he Receiver answers their mobile in the middle of the message being played they hear half the message which seems a bit odd, but we can live with that. Now comes the rub - if the Receiver presses any key on their phone (we had to do it twice), then they can speak to the person making the call - fabulous i hear you say .. its clear and simple and we had a good chat .. BUT and a BIG BUT .... the interaction only comes from/to the Base Unit - so if I trigger the pendant or watch alarm upstairs, I have to drag myself to the base unit to speak to someone - It would be so much better if the voice conversation could occur via the watch/pendant as well.. Lets be clear this is not a deal breaker as the Caller has made contact and the Receiver is aware as they have heard the recorded message.. but as the base unit will have to be by a Phone point because that is where it is cabled to (i.e. a telephone) - if the caller wanted to speak they could just dial up anyway. This personal alarm is for when someone is incapacitated and so being able to have a short interaction would be very useful .. just a thought as I say not a deal breaker. I would be interested in the makers exploring that option though. I went to the top of the garden and the range still invoked the call so all good there too. The Family member slept in the watch all night and I was pleased that the next morning I had not been 'accidentally' called as they rolled on the unit - so not accidental button press - phew. As always the instruction sheet is not as straight forward as I would like - the reference to the acknowledgement by the Receiver could be more clear as could the reference to how to respond back to the Caller, but its not too difficult to understand so thats fine. I like the fact that this unit is well priced and there is no subscription service. You get an email asking to justify VAT exemption but that is not onerous and should definitely not prevent you buying it. Overall, I would say this is a very good product - simple to use and with a watch and a pendant is a great safety service for your elderly or any family member. I feel a lot more confident as a result that my family member will be able to contact me in an emergency.

Looks and feels like something Amstrad would have made in the 70s BUT !!!!!!
Looks and feels like something Amstrad would have made in the 70s the speaker sound quality is dreadful. plus to hang up after an alarm has been sounded you have to turn off the machine and back on again........Having said that, it does what it is supposed to do and does it well. We wanted something that the Oldies would wear all the time that they could alert us if they had a problem..it doesnt matter we cant understand the recorded message. we know if our programmed mobile numbers ring and it from the home number it means they need us....we also have Sricam wifi cameras in each room they use and these also i would recommend as we can see what the problem is on our mobiles..... this alarm is very good value for money and a much cheaper alternative to anything else out there.... dead easy to set up highly recomended

It is so easy and provides great piece of mind
For the price, this is a must. It is so easy and provides great piece of mind. My mum does not mind wearing it. She wears the watch one and has the other hanging buy her bed. Not it can only communicate with 2 devices not 3. I ask her to press it a the start of each month to test and it seems to work.It does get slightly confused sometimes and makes a funny noise after pressing the alarm but it does sort itself out and always calls the numbers as required. I found it interfered with mums old 900MHz phone so I did have to change the phone but she needed a better one anyway. There are two types. This one which used the standard phone line and another that uses a mobile phone sim card. For use at home this seems the best option for me.

Superb
Superb device, very reassuring to know mum will be able to get help, if needed. I hope we never have to use it, but it is there as a precaution. Easy to install, input phone numbers and record a message. The base unit is quite small and light weight. The lanyard is preferred by mum, but it also has a help button on a watch strap. The customer service is second to none. An all round excellent buy. Would definitely recommend this item and the company.
