The Balvenie Tasting Collection, 3 x 50ml

I'd never tried any of the Balvenie whiskies before I got this taster set, and this is a great introduction to 3 superb whiskies. Many people have commented that the Balvenie Doublewood 12 year is very close in taste to the Aberlour 12, which is one of my favourite whiskies. And I think I actually prefer the Balvenie Doublewood 12! The Caribbean Cask is a fascinating whisky with a really distinctive taste of rum, which not everyone will like, but I really enjoyed it! The Doublewood 17 is up there with the best 'non peaty' single malts, and it was great to try it in this affordable set, as I'm unlikely to shell out for a full bottle, when the Doublewood 12 is almost as good, and yet one third of the price! Buying taster sets is a great way to discover new whiskies, and find out whether or not you like a particular whisky before investing in a full sized bottle. I bough this set for £15, which is exceptional value, so keep an eye out as it is regularly around this price.

Wonderful whiskey! I bought it as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend's dad. That was his main drink to enjoy. I had opportunity to try a little sip of the 17 years old one and although it's a very small bottle, it's worth trying. I have to buy another one for my dad now as he loves whiskey too!

I bought this for my brother in law as a thank you for helping me when I moved house. Each bottle is a double measure. He loved them and now I know which one he would like as a large bottle for his birthday!!

The Balvenie tasting collection is my favorite. I am very happy with the three drams in this which I had not tasted the 14 until today. I really liked all three tasters which was perfect for the price.

enjoyed this, was nice to sample a few varieties of Balvenie which is one of my favorites. Both the 17 year old and the caribean casks are very nice, I would / will be getting the 17 year old.

I have already had the doublewood 12 (2 full size bottles, I don't drink that much) but wanted to try the others with a view to buying full size of them. I am not that keen on the rum cask one but love the other 2. It really is down to personal preference but all 3 are good in their own way. I will however be trying the doublewood 17 again. That is excellent! I find that having a cigar with it makes the taste more of a pleasure. Again, personal preference.

Beautiful taste from the Caribean cask and Double Wood 12 yr old. I must recommend buying a tasting set before buying full bottles otherwise if you are like me you feel obliged to drink a full bottle even if you dont like it.

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Trio von wunderbaren weichen uns süffigen Whiskys. Habe mir die Miniaturen bestellt, um zu testen, ob mir die Balvenies schmecken und ich mir auch die großen Flaschen kaufen würde. Ein Volltreffer. Alle 3 Whiskys schmecken mir (Anfänger) hervorragend. Schon der Geruch, der beim Öffnen der Fläschchen austritt ist überwältigend. Frische Zitrusfrüchte beim 12- und 17-jährigen wecken Lust auf einen Dram. Der 14-jährige kann seine Veredelung in einem Rumfass nicht leugnen - aus ein Volltreffer für die, die Rum mögen. Die Miniaturen kann ich jedem ans Herz legen, der einen Whisky kennenlernen möchte, aber noch nicht bereit ist, für eine "unbekannte" Flasche zwischen 40 und 100 Euro zu investieren.

Schönes Set, wenn auch nicht ganz günstig. Mir hat's geschmeckt.

Ein Tropfen besser als der andere,mit dem Alter steigend.
