National Geographic 2026 Magic Advent Calendar with 24 Days of Tricks

Day five and my son has been thoroughly happy!! Seeing his face light up compared to other year’s advent calendars was a win for me. Everything is based as magic some using science. Pretty cool. The instruction book also has QR codes to take you directly to the videos if you need further instructions. Also, the calendar itself if well put together I wall mount ours for the kids and I love the fact it opens like a book with a Velcro closure that’s awesome. Overall, this will intrigue any child worth the money! The fact the kids actually learn something and is able to practice the tricks is awesome!

Really good set of science and magic sets but buyer beware. All of the days are spoiled if the opener reads the book in the side. It has really neat stuff and great to do together but the whole experience can be ruined if they get the book out

We love advent calendars but hate having a bunch of little junk items. We try to get some sort of activity advent calendar every year. One year we did mini puzzles, mini lego builds another year, etc. My 7 year old son has had so much fun with this advent calendar. He was behind a couple of days last weekend and opening 3 days had him occupied for hours. He loves the interactive elements and of course learning magic to trick his big sister. The instructions are clear and he is able to do the activities on his own. The size of the products and the quality all seems good. Everything you need for an activity has been included. Definitely a good pick!

We are on day 6 of this calendar and it’s been a total hit for my three kids. Each year I found myself spending so much money on the silly craze of advent calendars… when you have multiple kids, that total adds up. And so does the junk that usually comes in them. Which is why I decided on this calendar this year. Less junk. Less money. That’s a win already. The instructions are SO SIMPLE. There is a QR code that takes you to video explanations on how to perform the magic tricks. The scientific experiments are written in such simple steps that they can do most of the work independently. How we use one calendar for 3 kids you might be wondering? We rotate who opens the daily box, and then if it’s a magic trick I take that lucky box opener to a private place in the house where we learn all of the secrets as to how the magic works, then the lucky kiddo gets to perform the magic trick for the others! Following the performance, he/she then teaches the others how to do the trick. If it’s a science experiment, the lucky box opener gets to be the one leading the experiment as the others watch/learn. This calendar has been a great way to build their sibling bond, learn patience, practice following instructions, while also being educational… and I can’t say enough great things about it. We highly recommend this to anyone looking to add more excitement to what the typical advent calendar for kids is.

I picked up this Advent set for my teen son, who’s obsessed with all things magic, and it has been a fantastic surprise. Each day’s item feels like a mini magical reveal—fun, clever, and just mysterious enough to keep him excited. He’s genuinely eager to open it every morning! The quality is great, the themed pieces are unique, and it’s been wonderful seeing him practice little tricks and show off new surprises each day. It’s the perfect mix of creativity and magical fun. If you have a teen boy who loves magic or enjoys a touch of wonder in his day, this Advent set is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

This was so much fun and my son loved it. Is also incorporated some science in so it was a good learning experience for him as well. My only complaint is that on one of the days you get a pretend thumb (to pretend like you’re pulling your thumb off). The color was light beige. For kids that have black or brown skin this will not work (obviously it looks fake no matter what but that’s not the point). It seems like the producer of this product just assumed it would only be lighter skinned kids using it (or just didn’t care) which is ridiculous. Offer color options or take it out completely. My child has lighter skin that is closer to the color of the fake thumb so it worked for us but I could see how others would be very disappointed to find this.
