Come and Learn from the Lives of these 12 Amazing Women
Such an incredibly beautiful book! I loved how the stories of the 12 women were compiled. It was so inspiring to learn how each woman used her unique skills and abilities to honor the Lord and further the spread of the Reformation. I was also particularly struck by the amount of suffering these women faced. Even when great trials came, like widowhood or the deaths of their children, these women continued in fruitfulness for the sake of the Gospel. Highly highly recommend!!

Twelve little-known but remarkable 16th Century women
Many volumes have been written about the 16th Century Reformers and their heroic steadfastness, but much less is usually known about the women they were married to, and about some other remarkable "Reformation ladies". The lives of these women are more captivating than anything a talented novelist could have imagined ! Some were from extremely humble backgrounds, others from royal families. However, as one reader stated, all are "inspiring" as well as "both tough and lady-like". Thanks to Rebecca VanDoodeward, a gap has now been filled. Once you dip into this well-written book, you will find it hard to put it down.

Surprisingly fascinating look at 16th century women believers
I didn't realize these women lived in the 1500s--I thought it was the 1600s--so this book was surprising from the start. Some of their stories are the same, but I was impressed by these mothers of the Protestant faith and the agonies they endured on behalf of God.

Chapter Missing
The book felt choppy, with odd transitions at times. Also, it’s missing Ch. 6 about Jeanne d’ Albret. But it was interesting to read about how strong, faithful women, and some not always so strong, played an important role in the Protestant reformation. And the last chapter is a must-read!!!

Inspiring
I am enjoying this book. Each of the women described in this book, and their life's contribution to the reformation is well written and merely a few pages long. It has been a great book for my women's bible study group.
