Perfect size and price
This beef bouillon was exactly the product I expected. It is great flavor for all my beef dishes and it was very affordable. The product description was very clear detailing about it. My husband and I reside in the south part of Louisiana. So being prepared for hurricanes have made us a creature of habit. Meaning to always be preparing in advance. I ordered 6 of these because the size and price was perfect for storing. We do a lot of traveling for work while staying in the camper. Keeping one in the camper and one in the pantry at home was easy because of the size and price.

Must have product for cooking
My husband used to buy this bouillon at Food Lion and Walmart, but itโs been hard to find in stores lately. I was happy to see it available on Amazon. It smells and tastes wonderful, and it works well with all kinds of dishes. We really appreciate the quality of the ingredients, and the size of the container is definitely worth the price.

More affordable than bouillon with similar flavor
Definitely not a true beef base, for that you'd want something like Better Than Bouillon or similar product, where the number one ingredient is beef, not salt, and the price will reflect that. It's labeled as a beef flavored broth base, which is probably technically correct, but a bit misleading as it might be mistaken for true beef base. No real beef base would be this cheap. That said, this is a great low-cost alternative to beef bouillon. It's both more affordable and better tasting than popular bouillon products like Wyler's and Knorr, which consist primarily of salt, MSG, and soy protein, with actual beef broth being pretty far down on the list of ingredients. This product does not contain MSG, but does have similar flavor enhancers that give it the umami profile. It's beefier than bouillon, but definitely not a substitute for real beef broth. Excellent for extending your own stocks or drippings to make gravies. Add some of this to pan drippings to increase the yield of gravy from your roast. Use it instead of salt in beef recipes like meat loaf, beef stew, shepherd's pie. Use it to make a quick au jus substitute for sandwiches.

Good flavor!
Amazon didn't have the liquid broth concentrate I usually buy, so I purchased this as an interim solution. I use beef broth only to make Au Jus for French Dip sandwiches. This stuff is pretty salty & is full of hydrolyzed gunk, so it won't go in my permanent rotation. That said, the taste of this is really good & makes a mean au jus. I was happily surprised. I'll share how I make my own au jus & maybe that'll help you if you're new to this concentrate (or to cooking French Dip). CINDI'S AU JUS (Serves 1-2) 1-3/4 cups water 3 level tsp of this beef broth base 2 tsp of tamari (a lower sodium type of soy sauce) 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce 1 heaping tsp of onion powder Can double or triple this recipe just fine if making more than 1-2 sandwiches. Add all to a sauce pan & simmer over medium-low heat -- just hot enough it boils softly. After it bubbles, I simmer 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to make sure the onion powder is dissolved -- then turn it off. If you reduce the au jus, it's just going to get saltier & awful, so don't. I buy pre-cooked roast beef in a pack that's thinly sliced. To heat the meat, I just put the slices in the hot au jus for 1-2 mins, then fish it out with a spider or slotted spoon. Once I've dunked all the meat & removed it, I put the remaining au jus into little bowls for dipping. While doing all this I'm toasting my bread & melting cheese. It's a tasty sauce & is more flavorful than what I normally use, so that was a nice surprise. If you find it too strong for you, try adding 1/4 more of water & stir well. I love the flavor of the base & will miss it when my regular (healthier) beef broth concentrate becomes available again.

I beef with how good this is !
This beef bouillon delivers exceptional quality, with a rich and deep flavor that truly enhances the taste of any dish. It offers great value for money and provides excellent storage capacity, freeing up space. Plus, its ease of use is a game-changer, as it dissolves easily and quickly in hot water, other liquids or solid food that calls for mixing, unlike traditional cubes. The sodium content is a good amount for me.
