Gel Nail Polish Remover, 15ml Gel Remover for Nails No Need to Soak or Wrap

I was really hopeful, but did not expect this to actually work. It works! As others have reported, it burns like crazy if you get it in your skin so don’t! Worth the risk to me not to damage my nails with filing or the nail drill. As directed I did use a course file to remove the top coat first. Worked well and gel scraped off easily.

This works as described. It is a good value since the tools it comes with are very solid. Make sure to use the file to really rough up the top coat and then apply several coats of the product. Let it sit until you see it starts bubbling up and then use the tool to lightly scrape it off. I don't want to keep gel polish on my nails since it seems damaging and expensive so this was a good way to get it off without having to spend the time and money to go to the salon. I am sure whatever chemical is in this is quite strong because it does burn a bit but the odor is surprisingly light.

Just used this for the first time and immediately came here to write a review. As you can see in the picture, quickly after applying the gel polish starts to detach from the nail bed. After letting it sit on your nails about five minutes, you gently scrape it off with the provided tool. You don’t have to apply much pressure at all keeping nail damage at a minimum.

I’m now on my second bottle of this, and I love that each bottle comes with the tools shown in the photo. I use gel and poly gel. This stuff works very well! I do file down the top layer of my nails quite a bit and then use this afterward. I also need to do several layers and often need to reapply a couple of times after scraping, but it does still work! I never have to touch a drill to my natural nails, which I really appreciate, and I don’t have to spend forever, soaking them in acetone. That being said, DO NOT GET THIS ON YOUR SKIN- IT BURNS! It burns like hellfire. It is so confusing because even the slightest little flake of that on your skin, let’s say you get it on your thigh or your arm or a different part of your hand, holy moly… It is absolutely insane. I started using this only when I’m wearing long sleeves and pants and I’m so diligent about not getting it on my hands. It absolutely burns. So if you think you can keep it away from your skin and not move your hands when it’s on, this is a product for you! But I’m so serious… Be warned.

Surprisingly, it did a great job! I had never used gel polish and was shocked regular polish remover wouldn’t do anything to remove the gel polish. I bought this and I was scared to use it thinking it would damage my natural nails. It did not. It’s kinda freaky when you first put it on because the polish bubbles up. You wait a few minutes (read the instructions) and the gel polish wipes off. You may need a scraping tool to get the bits and pieces off, but if you do it carefully, that won’t ruin your natural nails either. I recommend this product.

This worked quickly and well. I buffed off the top coat to remove the sheen and I applied the remover as instructed and the gel polish was up within 3 mins . I used the tools to scrape the polish off. My only caution is that you use the tools carefully as they are sharp and can gouge your nail. There was no damage to my nails

It eventually gets the job done but I don’t want to think about the chemicals it takes to do this… Removing a gel manicure always leaves natural nails in pretty rough shape so I can’t really say this product is any better or worse than a salon in that regard. But as others have noted as well, this stuff burns quite fiercely if it gets on the skin, and it causes a weird and uncomfortable contraction of your nails while it works. I don’t have high hopes for the condition of my nails until they’re fully grown out because this process leaves them very roughed up and damaged. You get there in the end but this isn’t a miracle product. It takes a lot more filing than the instructions indicate to get the gel layers thin enough so the remover can actually work. If you have a thick gel set, be prepared to work at it for quite a while, with multiple coats of remover and scraping in between. If you do your own nails regularly, then this is probably worth it but if you’re like me and have a gel manicure just every once in a while, it’s probably quicker to just go to the salon and have them removed. I’m about 90 minutes into the removal process and still have four more nails to go. The set itself is great for the price and the included tools are a sturdy metal and useful. But I probably would not buy this again. Pics are before and after. Note the thickness of the gel—mine wasn’t all that thick and it still took a lot of filing first, and four to six passes of remover and scraping. In the “after” photo, my index finger nail has “recovered” for a day and the other three are the condition of the nails right after removing and buffing.

Takes time to break down the gel. And multiple coats required. Do not get on skin it does burn.
