Green People Children's Sun Lotion Scent Free SPF 30 (150ml)

We tried this on a recommendation for my 1 year old daughter last year as she seemed to be allergic to most standard sun creams including the very scented "kids" products. I must say I was sceptical at first that an organic product containing no traditional chemical uv absorbers could offer the correct protection for a child's skin. But after several applications I had to eat my words, this product is brilliant! Complete sun protection, she has never even slightly gone red or showed any signs of reaction or puffy skin, her twin brother is ok using normal kids sun creams and we have to apply them much more often than the Green People product to keep him protected. Down sides are it is quite thick due to the beeswax and applies better when warm and on the whole fairly expensive (although prices are lower this year) and we haven't tried it outside of the UK yet, but if you have a sensitive skinned child and have tried all the rest I definitely recommend this product as a safe alternative.

After a lot of research into Sun radiation, risk of skin cancers and vitamin D production (all inter-related) I became a strong advocate of non-using sun creams (I won't put here why, for those interested I can send a link to my blog).But as we were going to ski with two kids, we decided to take sun cream just in case sun is too strong, which can be up in the Alps.I definitely was not going to buy commercial creams, full of stuff that, to put it mildly, does not do you any good, so Green People came to the rescue again (kids are using their toothpaste and I am very happy that they are not eating fluoride that they would if we used "other" brands that you see ads on TV etc.)Composition of this cream makes me much more comfortable using it on kids (as rare as I can anyway), most components are natural and organic.Overall a very good product, if you absolutely have to use a sun cream, make it Green People!

I bought this for my son, after trying every 'sensitive skin' sun lotion on the market. All the others brought him out in an instant allergic reaction and I had given up hope of finding anything suitable, having to keep him completely covered and out of the sun as much as possible. Not much fun for a 6-year-old boy. This was recommended to me and I tried it without much hope, expecting this to be another sizable amount of money down the drain.After trying a test patch overnight, without any reaction, I started feeling a bit of hope and applied it on his face, arms and legs. At the end of the day, still no reaction! Success at last.I'm happy I have finally found a sun lotion that my son can use and start to join in more with his friends during the summer. Well worth the money to make sure sensitive skin can be protected.

I have not yet tried it out in the sun.However I have been searching high and low for a sun scream that hasn't brought my son out in a rash or made his excema flare up.I had tried all the ones you can buy normally from the shops including those that say 'hypoallergenic' 'for sensitive skin' to no avail.I put some of this on my sons arm and it caused no reactions and where it had gone onto patches of excema the cream actually made the skin there a little softer and smoother!My son (3 yrs old) also walked round the house the rest of the day saying the cream felt nice and his arm felt nice :)This cream is pretty pricey but worth it.I do however worry about the lower factor as I normally aim for factor 50 as he's very pale. I will just have to keep him even more covered and in the shade.

Very good sunscreen, veruly happy with it, it doesn't leave the skin white or greasy. Definitely recommend.

As a mum of two little blonde boys I was very worried when my oldest son's eczema got very irritated from using "normal" sun creams. It was so bad I was left with the dilemma of whether to use any. Even the baby products caused him great discomfort. I was so relieved when I was told about this product and even more relieved when I was able to use it on him with no side effects. As for whether it works, my son has used for 2 weeks in Spain, 2 weeks in Florida, a week in Dubai and 2 weeks in the south of France and he never burns!!! If one thing could be improved it could be easier to rub in but that's a tiny problem compared to the benefits of this product. I use it on both my sons now because of the "nasties" in other sun creams. Oh, and it lasts ages!!!

I order the product for amazon, as I have heard really good reviews for it. Although, 2hen I recieved it I checked the exp date and it is in 6months. According to the manufacturer the product has a lifespan of 30months. The production date was 2 years ago (image MM/YY/DD), which is unacceptable. I will order it directly from the green people site.

The lotion is really very kind to skin. I used it even on the zone around the eyes and do not irritated it, but I can,t say it,s scent free at all. Yes, there is not artificial smell, but smell like an old oil, which is even worse for me. I suppose the Amazon warehouse was too warm for organic cosmetic products, which don,t content preservatives. It,s pity because I can,t use of cause this strong oily smell.
