Great flavor, perfect for fast broth dishes

We do a lot of Asian cooking and soup making and I must say that these are the best dried mushrooms we've ever tried. Yes we have tried a lot of dried mushrooms. I love how huge they are. Not little tiny dried ones you get from other companies. I highly recommend these mushrooms. Also I have to add the flavor is high standard. If you're looking for a very flavorful high quality mushroom this is where you go., 💯

These VIGOROUS MOUNTAINS organic shiitake slices are a great solution if you, like me, are tired of finding sad, slimy mushrooms in the fridge. Just toss a handful into soup or ramen, and they rehydrate nicely — no food waste, no guilt!They do take a little time to soften, so plan ahead (or add them early in cooking), but the flavor is rich and earthy. The texture isn’t quite the same as fresh mushrooms — a bit chewier — but not in a bad way. I am VERY IMPRESSED with the Quality of these Mushrooms!!!!! I received my Order from Amazon in a Large Box 📦 😀 (which was VERY WELL DONE by them) which prevented any breakage during Shipping 🚢. When I opened the box, I was VERY impressed with the Size of the Mushrooms. And I had a feeling they would be GREAT. I was Wrong: They were FANTASTIC!!!!! I opened the the sturdy plastic pouch & placed them in a bowl 🥣 & poured hot water over them. They are Succulent, Tender & very Flavorful. And they taste as good as fresh!!!! They're better than fresh because you'll want to use the soaking water. No. Sand. No. Grit. It's been a long time since I wrote a Review for anything, but I felt compelled to. It's a lot of money 💰 for dried mushrooms, but they're well worth it. The package will cover at least 12 bowls of Ramen & could go farther. But they're SO wonderful you'll probably dream about them!!!! Definitely gonna reorder them.

This is my second purchase. I was impressed with the flavor and freshness and how well the mushrooms rehydrated. Because the mushrooms are thinly sliced, it is very versatile making it easy to break up if you wanted smaller pieces for something like inarizushi.

Very yummy. Doesn't plump up very much BUT that's probably my fault as I always leave it to soak at the last minute. Throw it in a big bowl of warm water and let it do it's thing. Leave it for longer than 15 minutes for sure. Don't throw out the soaking water! Lots of nutrients in there. I use it like I would Veggie Broth.
