Lets build a 0-60 in 4 seconds car
Excellent book. My old MX-5 failed the MOT, but now having read this book and researched LOCOST sites i feel i could get a car ready for the DVSA test for less than the quoted £250. Have started recycling insulation foam and wood from builders skips to get the components to make a nosecone mould. Got a welder and angle grinder so now just got to get £100 worth of steel tubes then it will be time to start experimental building of the frame.....

great design
this book has been written in an easy to follow way, even if you have not high technical skills.Ron champion has skillfully written this book in a way that is easy to follow, and also gives insight into how and why each section of building this type vehicle is carried out. I highly recomend this book to anybody wanting to build a 7 style sports car.

Built Mine Using It
Bought the book on a whim in early 2002 and started the build on 6th July, got it registered for the road in Jan 2006. Modified the plans slightly to make chassis wider and used a Rover V8 and made my own IRS using a Sierra rear end. Made all the bodywork too. It's a challenge and there are a few inconsistencies but with the support of forums like locostbuilders.co.uk you can't go wrong. Too much :)
