The tag plyers are made of hard plastic and should last under moderate use. The tags are made of a semi-pliable plastic that will outlive the cows. Unfortunately, they must have a good Flavor to them because a few of the calves have been chewing on their neighbors' tags. They haven't done any damage to them or torn them out, so all it good. This pack of 150 tags might be a lifetime supply for my small herd. I haven't used the tag remover.
