Great investment, i use this to measure distance when setting up my crane. Works well at night , and in sunny days the camera feature comes in handy.

So far It is everything advertised. The laser is very bright in the daytime. The camera helps for far distances for sure. Definitely recommend!!

A fine machine that provides accurate measurement of distance and angle.The manual can be improved by targeting novice users. It needs to communicate effectively in terms of language and procedures.The camera function is the weakest because shifting the arrows accurately to the required edges is difficult. This measurement cannot be done properly without a tripod.The wrist strap cannot be installed because the factory forgot to puncture a hole at the mounting position to allow the fine string to go through. This is a minor but annoying defect that the customer cannot do anythng to rectify.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice unit. This can be used outside or inside. I've used it inside to measure the distance from where I'm at to multiple walls and frames. I've used it outside to calculate the distance to other buildings. Has a beautiful color high res display. When using an inside I can see a little laser Dot to focus. When using outside the display shows crosshair on the display to focus in on the point you want to measure. I thought I'd get this for doing some freelance work possibly for measuring outside areas for getting the numbers for bidding painting jobs. I can see how this could be used in a lot of different ways. Suppose I want to run some CAT6 to another building this could give me a pretty good idea how long of a run I would need. I'm very impressed with this beautiful little tool. The booklet is pretty thick and might be a little intimidating at first, but as I get to know it, I'm sure I'll appreciate all the features it has. I am very pleased with this tool!

This is a feature rich laser measuring tool, so much so that I won't waste time listing them just to list them. Suffice to say, I doubt you'd be able to think of something within reason that it can't do. For example, it can calculate the distance between two points using the pythagorean theorem, slopes, additive distances, areas, volumes and of course, distances. It is solid, and has rubber padded edges to help absorb shocks and keep it from sliding, much like a quality phone case would.It comes with a book-pamphlet that is 3/8" thick. I actually measured it because I was in shock. Why so thick? The English section really isn't that long, it's because they include every possible language in its own section. I get the concept, that it simplifies manufacturing, but wow, it's thick.They included a nice case, but it's difficult to slide the measuring tool into the case, in part because it's a tight fit, but also because there's rubber all around. So I have to try to pull the netting up while sliding it in, but it really doesn't stretch, so it's a challenge every time. And then there isn't much space beside it for the charging cable. I wish that pocket were slightly larger. But they did include a semi-hard, quality case, so I guess it's a wash.Attaching the strap was a nightmare. The hole is so small, that because the thin part that you insert has a slight bend in it, you have to poke it in. The you have to slide it under a bar, which again, is difficult and I had to use a sharp object. Finally, pulling it out was a challenge. I had a very thin set of needle nose pliers, and it could barely get in to pull it out. I suggest using a pair of tweezers. And you're going to need good eyesight, glasses or a magnifying glass. And even then, I almost gave up.However, overall, it's a good tool, and the complaints are minor. The most important thing is that it works, and delivers as advertised. There wasn't any function that I tried that gave me an issue.

The size is great on this tool; easy to carry around on a lanyard or carabiner. Does not take up too much space in a tool box, even in its semi-rigid clamshell case.The mounting threads on the back for either a tripod or other stationary device are a great option, especially if you're looking to get measurements as accurate as possible (I'd use this for rough estimates or a secondary measurement to known good tape, especially without a steady hand).The manual appears to be very thorough and covers the whole gambit of options. The simple distance measurement is pretty straightforward and I didn't need a manual to figure that out. Some of the other options though may require a read!The laser is bright, especially if you're not trying to take measurements outside in full sun. Your mileage may vary if you utilize this under certain lighting conditions. Be aware of laser limitations under full light; sometimes it can be hard to see at distance.The bumper is sufficient enough that it might be able to take a tumble or two. I'd try to keep this from impact, as with most laser devicesAll in all, a very solid device to add to your toolbox, especially if you manage to grab it at a discounted price!
