Would this be suitable to use in a salt grinder

Hello.  In my experience it's really too moist to use in a grinder.  It didn't come out.  I have a mini pestle and mortar which works perfectly.   I grind and couple of tea spoons at a time and leave in the pestle and mortar.   It also dries it out a bit.

does it have to be grinded or can it be sprinkled directly onto food?

This is just my opinion.  If I was going to sprinkle on food, I would prefer it to be finer, so grinding would be a good idea.  I mostly put it into liquid sich as water for boiling rice, pasta etc. Also into stews and soups that obviously contain liquid.

Yes, it is real Celtic salt. Having researched how bad table salt is I really looked into this salt. Don’t expect it to flow like salt as it doesn’t contain any nasty agents to help it flow. It’s pure and seems slightly damp. So natural and better for you.
