My pool is 5 m x 8 m and my 1.5 hp pump empties the pool in under 2 hours.** A: Volume of pool is found by Length X Width X Depth X 1000 = Litres Litres per minute is found by the volume of pool in litres divided by 120 = amount of water goingthrough your pump. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Not good *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 April 2023* Only second season stalled a couple of times last year now will not run had drained down over winter as per instructions ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ looks well made and more robust than the poor quality one I had fitted initially *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 September 2014* I am looking forward to replacing my screaming grinding old pump with this one should be quite straight forward ...looks well made and more robust than the poor quality one I had fitted initially. Took this pump to sri lanka for our pool over there.Easy to fit and as soon as it was fitted and turned on ..so quiet ...so much so we keep forgetting to switch it off.i am really impressed with this pump ..works fine on our pool which is 9 m x 7 x 1.5 m ..great value ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a really good pump. In fact it was so good that it blew some of the original joints and I did get a few leeks but once they were fixed I was happy I got this pump. All I would suggest is make sure all the pipes and well cemented in place before turning it onMy only moan is that the cable to plug it in isn't quite long enough and it's a stretch to reach the socket but other than that it's a good pump ## Frequently Bought Together - Gibbons FCP-370S/550S - 0.5 HP Swimming Pool Pump 0.37 kW 0.5HP 230V, Self Priming, Including Filter Basket, UK Plug, Ideal Replacement Pump - Clearwater Water Clarifier for Hot tub Spa and Swimming Water Treatment for Pristine Crystal Clear Water, 1 Litre - Clearwater CH0019 1 kg Multifunction Chlorine Tablets, 4-in-1 Dispenser Tablets (Sanitiser, Stabiliser, Algaecide and Clarifier) for Pools and Hot Tubs, 50 x 20 g, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/65208623-gibbons-fcp-370s-550s-0-5-hp-swimming-pool-pump](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/65208623-gibbons-fcp-370s-550s-0-5-hp-swimming-pool-pump) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
