what kind of frankincense is this ?

Package I got reads exactly the same as the picture, and then one extra line under the " Packed in the USA" "Product Origin: Ethopia" This is decent frankincense, there are much purer kinds, and rarer kinds, like you will see on other offers on amazon prices range from 10-20$ a pound for the bulk medium grade stuff, and the same for an ounce of the really rare or highest grade kinds (normally green in color and don't sell in bulk. I was getting some really good smells from this company's bags and was delightedly burning through nearly a pound a month for the last couple years, and I burn it a few times a day really thick like they used to do it at my local church when I was younger. I'd say any normal or beginner user of this would probably last 3 months to a year or so on 1 lb burning it a few times a week in large chunks or breaking off be-be or pellet sized chunks a few times a day. Up until the last 2 orders, each bag would have a good variety of smells and melting qualities etc, but sadly the last couple were all very turpentine like in aroma, which I dont favor as much as the lemony or piney smelling pieces, so I can see where some of the negative reviews are coming from. I did notice that the last couple shipments were from random sellers and I had gotten them from amazon sellers before that nearly every time though, so I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the offers on here that are normally a dollar or two cheaper than amazons offers for the same product without prime shipping albiet, might be purchasing lots of bags from amazon and then sorting through them for the best smelling pieces or green colored pieces, and then seperating all the low quality chunks and returning them to the same bags weighed out with some from low quality of other bags and reselling those for a dollar or two less than they bought them for just without prime shipping, so it looks like a good deal :/ then i'd imagine they probably keep the good stuff and reprocess it into scented varieties that some churches use or keep it for themselves, or resell it by the ounce on amazon and turn a nice profit. Just a hunch, but if you want the best stuff and price or quantity isnt your main focus, go with an ounce of some of the high rated sellers' green kind. Royal green they call it I believe, if you just want some bulk for a low price and want to take a bit of a risk then this is a great deal but make sure it says its coming from amazon and not some random seller even if its a buck or two cheaper. Then cross your fingers and you should get a decent variety of Ethiopian nearly food grade frankincense. I have not used frankincense in this form before. Do instructions come with it as to how to most effectively burn it?

There are no instructions for this product. I like to use charcoal pucks. Most people add a teaspoon of salt on top of the charcoal puck for an indirect slow even burn.
