Stanbroil RTD Temperature Probe Sensor Replacement for Traeger Pellet Grills (Except PTG)

No issues, install was simple and quick!

Warning, the lead wires were way longer than needed, be careful to make sure they don't get tangled up in the auger motor fan, as I did. It might be worthwhile shortening them, so that cannot happen. Another tip, cut off the old RTD and use those wires like a snake for the new wires. My hands were to big to reach in and pull them through.

Well, this took care of my huge temperature swings on my Treager! It is an easy installation, but since it isn’t a direct Treager replacement, it doesn’t have the quick connect plug. But, I knew that before I ordered. Since temperature probes can be affected if you change the length of the cables, I left them full length and connected them to the original Treager quick connect plug with some automotive crimp style connectors. I only left a couple inches of the original probe wires connected to the plug. My thoughts is that if I want to replace it with an OEM probe later, nothing would be modified so I could just plug it in. It would have been nice if they included crimp connectors or even small wire nuts, but it wasn’t a problem since I had some already. Anyway, like I said, now my Treager will hold with less than a 10 degree variance, which my unit wouldn’t do from the time it was new. I highly recommend this probe and will purchase another if needed in the future. Great product for a good price!

Worked great, temps held really well on my traeger pellet grill

Bought this item to fix our smoker according to the code we received. It was easy to install. Unfortunately it did not fix the problem but that is not the fault of the product. We must have more problems with the smoker than we thought.

Worked great to replace our traeger grill probe that stopped monitoring properly. Easy disconnect and reconnecting, fits well and operated appropriately. Would recommend instead of purchasing a new grill!

Works for Traeger Eastwood 22. My grill started having huge swings in temperature and would not cook above 350 degrees without hitting HEr shutdown. This sensor fixed all my temperature issues. Now that it’s working I’m going to cook my Thanksgiving Turkey in my smoker. Thanks

Purchased to replace the temperature probe on my 12 year old Big Tex BBQ. Fairly easy to install and works well. Prior to replacing the probe and rusted out burn pot, the temperature would not go above 300. After replacing the burn pot and temperature probe the BBQ works as it did when new.

Probe works great. Would have been nice to have a little extra heat shrink where the wires come out of the stainless steel probe.

This item works perfectly. Our Traeger grill was not starting properly and when it did start the temperature fluctuations were all over the place. Once the Stanbroil RTD Temperature probe was installed replacing the original Traeger sensor, our Traeger temperature is perfect on start up and stays wherever we set it! Straight forward to change. Excellent price.
