The lighting pad had come unstuck. I pushed it into place and continued but it kept falling out of place. I didn't think it was worth the hassle of returning it, so I put a tiny drop of glue into the 2 corners that were unstuck. This was a mistake beside the glue seeped and now you can see it when you view the slide. It is flimsy and I probably wouldn't buy it again, but it wasn't expensive. If you are simply just wanting to view slides or negatives to see their content, then it does the job.
