Fantastic quality saw.Yes very good for dovetails and working with dowels but as I am left handed to change the side the handle is on is a game changer for me in some circumstances.The blade can also cope with plastic pipe and angle.

Cuts very well, easy to keep on line, rigid blade with stiffener. Reversible handle, works well in both directions. Has nice well balanced feel. At this price would thoroughly recommend.

This is a great value cranked saw. Just what I needed to cut up a piece of furniture and get a clean edge.

Makes life a lot easier doing those awkward cuts.

Works but much harder than expected, I still purchased a power tool in the end,even for 3 door frames that I had to trim,gave up after the first.

Bought for cutting under architrave for fitting wooden floor. Nice and easy to use accurately and gives a fine cut. The blade can be released and moved into one of two positions for right or left hand cuts. I used a spacer underneath to give me the correct height of cut. The profile of the blade made it easy to get a level cut. Cant comment on the longevity of the blade as I only had to cut under 7 door frames.
