American Style Corn Broom

Sorry for marking one less star but the broom handle is just a little flimsy!

Four years in this country and finally, A GOOD AMERICAN broom.None of the stupid get on your knees Britain and sweep up with the same size brush that you get in shoe shine kits. An American broom. Something you can stand tall and use. Something that doesn't make you crouch like a cowering dog.Put a stick on it - Classic American innovation."Hey, why do we get on our hands and knees to gather up tiny piles of dust and debris?""Because cleaning should feel like the undemocratic oppression of a powermad tyrant, mate."Not any more. Arrived today, very well packaged. The broom end sweeps well. Some of the red stitches are loose though. The broom handle also feels a little loose and there's a definite bend in the wood, it's not straight at all. I bought this because I'd used one on holiday and liked it. This is not up to that standard but it's okay for the price.

Not quite as good as my previous

I use this for my balcony as I keep rabbit hays outside as well as one hay rack. So as you can imagine it is very easy to get messy. My dyson vacuums are helpful but I sometimes just want to avoid the noise so this is a very nice solution. I use a leather strip and screwed it on the top to hang on the wall. it looks very nice next to my small gardening tools. It can be used on the wooden flooring and on my rugs.

This broom has soft bristles so sweeping the patio is impossible if it's a damp wet day. Useful for cobwebbing outside and sweeping dry leaves. Had to purchase another with stiff scratchy bristles for the job.

If you want to sweep one dry leaf at a time, then this is the broom for you. Friends of mine had similar brooms that they use at our horse stables for sweeping wood shavings which are very light weight.I should have asked where they bought theirs from instead of ordering this one.The bristles are very weak, they bend too much when you sweep. it takes a long time to sweep the smallest pile of leaves or dust. Also the construction is very poor, the handle is soft wood, and too narrow for the broom and the screw-in thread is in the wooden handle, so the slightest damage and it won't screw in. Why not a plastic sleeve? Overall disappointed.

Perfect for sweeping in between cobbles. Lasts really well.
