Innova Star Katana Golf Disc (Colors may vary)

I love the Inova Katana discs I bought.I have used the Katana as a flick / side arm throwing style for at least 10 years.I always buy the Star Plastic type especially on drivers.The discs won't take nicks and cuts from trees and rocks like the softer plastics do.The shipping was very fast with help from them being about 65 miles away from me.Plus were on sale. :-)

Before purchasing the Katana, I was about 70/30 favoring the forehand/sidearm on long distance drives (greater than 300 ft), not because I was particularly more comfortable with the forehand, but because I could generate more power and arm speed that way. I had trouble generating enough snap with a backhand to keep the super-stable high speed drivers flat, and so had to opt for the forehand more often than not. That changed with the Katana.This disc allows me to throw backhand to nearly the same distances I can manage with an Ape or Boss forehand, owing to the Katana's exceptionally controllable flight. It is not as fast as those discs, but it makes up for it with glide and more beginner-friendly low speed stability compared to other long distance drivers.This is not a rocket-arm ready forehand driver, but finesse players may find it fits that role too. I've thrown it with moderate success on the "flick" style drives, but it will tend to nose over and turn into a roller if you get carried away with the arm speed.

This disc is great! Flies very straight right out of the box. I have increased my throwing distance by 10-15 yards easily. I have a pro Katana in my bag that I found searching for a disc I lost. The star material is far superior to the pro plastic. It is easier to to control even throwing into the wind.Delivery of this disc: Excellent! I ordered on a saturday and got it on a Wednesday.

I just started playing disc colf this summer, and got this (and the discraft nuke) as my first long range drivers. Smooth, sailing flight path with good range. Great for long shots that need to get around corners or obstacles. I was able to learn how to throw it very quickly. Excellent disc. Phenomenal 'around the corner' disc and I'd even use it for an open, straight shot.

Don't be fooled thinking its an advanced thrower disc, as a beginner, I threw this just fine. If you ask me, its more for flickers. I flick myself and a can get it about 300 feet. Overall it's my go-to disc in my bag. It curves left for me so it's good for obsticals and distance.

This disc did not go nearly as far or straight as the Innova Beast DX, which I threw 50 ft farther and much straighter. I'm a beginner, so this can be taken with a grain of salt, but if your just starting out, the DX beast is the disc for long straight throws.

I drive forehand whenever I can and this disc is great for that kind of style. super long distance and you can get big beautiful s-curves out of it without too much effort but it can also hold a hyzer or anhyzer line if thrown with skill

Unbelievably great driver. Requires a lot of power to throw.
