Extremely well made. Fits into the De Longhi perfectly, no leaks. Makes a good espresso though there is less crema than on a regular portafilter, but I attribute that to the 15 lb pressure on the machine more than anything else. I'm very happy with this unit.

I’m very happy with this bottomless portafilter. It fits my De’Longhi perfectly and feels solid and well made. The 51mm size and 2-ear design fit securely with no issues. The bottomless design is also a great way to see the extraction and improve my espresso technique. It makes it much easier to identify channeling and adjust the grind and tamping.

Wanted the product to use in my Breville Dual Broiler. After a month of use I am happy with the purchase. The fit seems secure, with no signs of leaking. As an off brand option the price is worth it. Two minor annoyances is that the ring for the basket comes unscrewed too easily. While nice for potential cleaning, when I knock the puck out it becomes loose and starts unscrewing. Second issue is my basket, while it fits with no leaks, is a smidge loose too when knocking the puck the basket often comes loose and falls out too. Be mindful not to loose it in the trash. For the value and what's on the market, I'm happy for this bottomless portafilter option for the BDB.

Everything worked well fit-wise. No issues with leaking or griding mating surfaces. It's just a hair looser than the stock portafilter, but still locks in at 6 o'clock. I went back and forth between this and the stock portafilter basket and ended up using this one. Only gripe is that between the retention lip in the basket and the retention spring, it takes quite a bit of force to remove (not so with the Gaggia stock basket). Still have a busted knuckle from my first attempt at removal. The fit/finish of the handle is very reasonable for the price. I liked the handle off my old 3-eared 51mm CAPFEI bottonless portafilter, and sure enough, it uses the same threads to attach to the filter body, so I was able to swap it without a problem. Disregard other peoples' comments about "coffee spraying everywhere." Sorry folks, but that's a skill issue. Watch a few videos on dialing in your grind if you run into that problem. The point of a bottomless portafilter is to see what's going on, and in their case, the goings on are a mess.

I really wanted this to work, but it failed on my delonghi stilosa machine. Pros, The look, the weight and ease of cleaning was there. It is easy to use. Cons, the size was there but the sides were a mm too short and it would just cause the water to spray everywhere as it would not seal properly. I hate that it didn't work, because the built is great. I have to give it one star unfortunately as it was advertise to fit on this machine

Works and looks great

Disappointed in the quality control on this product. Ordered this to fit my Delonghi Stilosa, and it fits and performs well. The basket seems pretty nice. The problem is with the quality control on the handle. The branded metal cap does not line up with the seem of the wooden handle, as they didn't drill the hole in the center. The frustrating part about this is it is the main physical point of contact with the whole espresso maker. I ordered another with the hopes that I received a dud, but the second one I got was just as bad, and also had a large blemish in the finish of the handle. Keeping it as I plan to turn my own wooden handle. If functionality is all you care about, this thing works. Otherwise check out one of the other dozen no-brand 51mm portafilters on Amazon.

Excellent quality but does NOT fit LERTIN 61oz 51mm machine...the 3 tabs are just different sizes. Excellent quality (though I was surprised the filter came out vs/ being part of the assembly) and handsome in person and would have been a keeper.

Try as I might, I couldn't get this to work with my DeLonghi La Specialista machine. No combination of grind coarseness and dose produced the optimum pressure. Mostly I found that coffee extract went everywhere except the cup. It isn't a tight fit in this particular machine which doesn't help. Maybe you could get it to work eventually somehow but I couldn't. Honestly don't see the benefits of a bottomless filter outweighs the hassles that this item causes. Stick with your standard portafilter.
