I was skeptical at first but for my mental health I need to keep my phone out of the bedroom which meant I needed an alarm clock but I haven’t had one in at least 10 years. I did a lot of research and was very intrigued by a fancy alarm clock that shall not be named but I couldn’t justify $170 and a subscription just to use it. I chose this one over the others because the fabric covering the digital time screen helps eliminate the blue light effects that others have and I liked that it is dimmable. I also found this one to be very cute as some of the other sunrise clocks I think are really ugly. This clock is easy to use, I love all the settings, it’s loud but gentle. I find that I tend to wake up before the alarm goes off because of how bright it is, which is fantastic since I no longer jolt awake. The snooze button will turn the light back on as well as the sound which is fantastic. The price is absolutely worth it for what you get even though it can seem hard since you can get cheapo clocks for $15, but your sleep and mental health is worth it, I promise.

La alarma es muy bonita, sin embargo llevo casi dos meses de usarla y su función principal (la luz que debería de empezar antes de la alarma, el “amanecer”) por desgracia deja de funcionar cada cierto tiempo (al rededor de cada 3 días) A pesar de que la configuración se siguió al pie de la letra según el instructivo, la luz de la alarma no llega al nivel de brillo configurado, por lo que no me despierta la luz (como debería), sino el sonido. Es una pena ya que fue por esta función por la cual la compré, y no fue un producto barato por lo que no debería de estar buscando como reiniciar el dispositivo cada 3 días. De haber sabido que solo haría el sonido de la alarma no hubiera desperdiciado tanto dinero, o bien, hubiera invertido más en comprar la competencia que sí funciona. No lo recomiendo.

I originally purchased the Dreamegg D1 Nova clock. That was way too over complicated for me so I returned it and got this. I love it! The set up was so easy. I love the dimmer function for the display and a separate dimmer dial for the accent lighting. Tons of sounds to choose from. You can adjust the alarm and sound volume. And it feels like a good quality item, nice and sturdy. Does not feel like super cheap plastic. Looks great on the night stand. Highly recommend!

I used the Philips Wake up Light HF3520 (sunrise alarm clock) for 5 years, but both of my clocks eventually malfunctioned in the same way - the light turned off when the alarm sounded (it should have stayed on), and the button to turn the alarm off became unresponsive. The Philips clock has gotten ridiculously expensive at $150 and I've seen the issue I had described on various forums, so it is a common issue. I decided to try the Dreamegg because of the lower price point and attractive fabric cover. Here's some comparison & my experience: - It works as expected, hence I've kept and been using it for the past few months. - The sunrise function works, but between each minute counting down to the alarm the light brightness increases is noticeable. It's not gradual like the Philips. This is the worst aspect I've experienced. The incremental light mechanism feels inferior. - The time/display is only a white color light, and the lowest display brightness level still feels too bright when I've turned the lights off. The red display of the Philips light was not as bright. This is the 2nd negative aspect of the Dreamegg. - It's much lighter and has a flatter/more stable base than the Philips. It stays balanced/upright better. - It only has 1 alarm (unlike the Philips, which let you set up to 2) - There are 3 orange/yellow/gold tone colors which appear more natural. - The fabric cover doesn't feel cheap.
