Not as easy as you think
After purchasing this bulb the seller told me I would need a specific dimmer for it to work properly.Lots of searching later I managed to get hold of this dimmer but the bulb would flicker at full power.The light is also very directional (down only). In the end I returned the bulb and bought a Phillips which just worked straight out of the box.If you don't mind hunting around for the correct dimmer switch and don't mind flicking this bulb is for you.

Avoid
I bought this for two reasons: it is a LED bulb and claims to be dimmable. It was only AFTER purchase that I received emails saying you had to have a compatible dimmer. Reluctantly, I sourced a new LED dimmer as well, but on reading the details when both arrived, the dimmer was unable to work with a single 7W bulb - too low a total wattage. There are dire warnings with the bulb not to use without a suitable dimmer. I tried it in a non-dimming location. The light is poor. I'd avoid the bulb and the company who sold it - I feel like I was conned.

Excellent dimmer capability brilliant light cheap to run.Fitted it in a centre light in the lounge that has a total of 5 bulbs wanted less energy using bulbs that gave good lightThese bulbs did that job

Not as described on the product page: requires special dimmer
I bought this item based on the statement on the product page "It's works with most conventional TRIAC or SCR dimmers". After it was despatched, the seller sent me a note stating that actually, this bulb requires a special dimmer that has a lower minimum wattage-- a flat contradiction of the product description. I confirmed with the seller via email that I shouldn't even test it with my dimmer, because it could damage the bulb. So I returned the item. Don't waste your time-- make sure you have the correct dimmer before you buy this item.

Bulb blew after 3 years without a lot of use. This is an LED bulb - it should last far longer than that. Not impressed at all.
