I use these trimmers to give myself fades. Pictured is a bald to #1 self fade.I zero gapped them to allow a smoother transition from trimmer to shaver. It required me to unscrew 2 parts and then just gently nudge the blade around until I was happy. No non-basic screwdrivers required. At first I went too close and the clippers nipped me so I backed off. I estimate there's about 0.1-0.2mm gap now. I still have to be reasonably careful with the neck area under my chin but nothing else gets even close to bitten at this gap level.The trimmers are great for fades and I also trim my beard with them using the 3mm guard included. Totally satisfied, would buy again unless I can afford Babyliss Skeletons one day, lol.

Another excellent product from Andis. Retired barber here, this trimmer is good for getting a good line on beard, mustache, and neck. As close as you're going to get without a straight razor. I use it for home use, not sure it could handle 40-50 heads a day like their StyleLiner II. But it is only 1/3 the price. You do get what you pay for.

Sharp, quiet, and holds a charge.Nothing negative to say other than a slight rusting on the plate. Little elbow grease and she's new again.
