These metal combs are better than expected. They indeed have rounded tines that feel great on the scalp, and aren't abrasive at all. The textured, faux wood finish is probably for aesthetics, but it also gives them texture and grip. I did expect these to be more rigid, as they do have some flex to them.

These are high-quality stainless-steel combs that are tough and durable but simple to clean. The stainless steel makes it rust proof so cleaning and keeping it sanitized is no issue. These combs make a great addition to my hair grooming kit which make hair cutting for the family a breeze. The teeth on these combs glide through hair smoothly without hurting or damaging the scalp. These combos are light weight so holding them for multiple haircuts doesn’t put any strain on my hands or wrist.

I like that these are made of metal, so they should last longer than the plastic ones I was using previously. They are easier to clean too. I like that the teeth are not very sharp so they don't scratch my scalp. The wood grain design is cool too. They aren't heavy, which I was a litte worried about.

They are nice for working with clippers as there is no fear of nipping off a tine on the comb! What I did not like: Overall, they look a bit intimidating and aggressive in appearance. They catch people's eyes no doubt as they look unlike most combs! Overall: 4 stars for being a worthy clipper mate for hair trimming.

I ordered these to upgrade my husband's hair combs as he usually uses cheap plastic ones. I'm not even sure where they came from. These stainless steel combs are much more durable compared to the brittle plastic ones and work well against his scalp. They are much heavier, so traveling with them wouldn't be as efficient.
