I did find that this has the typical self tanner scent, but it fades after a few hours. I really liked the color I eventually got with this set. Unfortunately it does take several applications to build up to a noticeable natural looking tan, and because you are only getting 3.4 oz, this will run out fast. The size is great for travel, but you would be better off buying their larger version which is 6.8oz for the same price, but without the tube of lotion (I can use a much less expensive lotion and get the same level of moisturazation), and transferring it into a smaller travel container if you need to travel with it.
