We used the burlap bags as plant holders for our table decor for a recent wedding. We were able to purchase 1 gal potting plants and place the plants inside the bags and tie off with a colored piece of twin. This allowed us to do very affordable table decor and achieve the look we wanted.

Wrong size

I agree with the previous reviewer because the bags definitely have a strong odor that I couldn’t get rid of completely. I tried setting them in the sun for a day and that help a bit. I used the bags as props in my daughter’s play but definitely wouldn’t recommend as a gift bag. They made great props, though!

I bought these to try and solve my problem with quickly rotting potatoes and onions. They did the job!! My potatoes and onions last 3 or 4 times longer than before. Highly recommend!

use then for tie down weight for the camper awning, smell reminds me of my days as a kid at grandparents farm

Sand Baggery promotes these smaller bags - 12"x19" - as suitable for crafts & gift bags. That's a lie. While these may be a good size, seemingly sturdy material & well sewn the STENCH absolutely ruins it.There are numerous reports of bags smelling of diesel/petroleum product and it all seems to be a hit or miss proposition. You can go ahead and order, hoping you'll luck out because that's what I did and now I'm a fool for tempting the fates. I even washed these bags, TWICE, and now my damn washing machine reeks!Sand Baggery should be ashamed of themselves for saying that this particular size bag is suitable for anything other than sandbags/tool storage and so on. You know what the worst part is? THEY CHARGE A 20% RESTOCKING FEE!I'll be complaining to Amazon and because they ship out of California I'm going to call whomever necessary to report them for promoting hazardous material as suitable for crafting.
