How come you can’t use this 3 months after opening if expiration date is after three months?

Hey Jennifer, This is an organic product and as such relies on the chemical/physical properties of high brix and acidity (like a jam or jelly might) to maintain proper preservation (i.e. to maintain low pH & low water activity). Thus we instruct consumers to discard our product 3 months after opening as a precaution

Can you put in bottle?

Yes, I often add it to my infants' whole milk with frequent shaking/stirring to ensure it mixes in. It does change the color of the milk, but gets the job done and helps reduce minor coughs in a healthier manner without the harsh OTC items.
